works like a mini food processor! Instead of pulling out my food processor when I just need a small batch of shred or slicing, I can put this on my kitchenaid that sits on the counter. Easier to clean up than my bulky food processor

If you have a KA stand mixer and want to make the best cucumber pickles ever, then this purchase is the less expensive version of the full scale slicer with adjustable thickness settings. This attachment is easy to use, clean, and maintain. If you're into barbecue, I would recommend this attachment as a small upgrade for home production.

This works great for shredding cheese and also use it for slicing thin pieces of potatoes for one of our favorite dishes. I have also used it to grind up Ritz crackers that I use to coat haddock and it saves so much time on prep. FYI, price just dropped from $49.99 to $39.99.

I find this accessory quicker and neater than the other KITCHEN AID Slicer/Shredder Set which is more bulkier to use. This one goes on and off easier, plus easy to clean too. Would like to have more blade choices also.

This attachment set is amazing. Grates the cheese quickly and the different sizes work well for so many dishes. It's a must have for the KitchenAid Stand Mixer.

One of the mamy KitchenAid mixer attachments. I bought this attachment as a gift for my mother for her birthday. I watched her used it and so far so good. She used to shred full size carrots amd it worked just find. Note, I did notice that you have to put a bit more force while pressing down the vegetable so it can properly shred. Also, i recomend to clean and declutter the tube, in between use. As it can get full and chunks of vegetable will not shred properly.

Individual blenders, food processors, and grinders work better than all-in-one components. Of course that is true with all products. It is like getting an all-in-one multi-tool; none of the tools work as well as one specifically designed for one purpose. With that said, this was purchased for the mixer and it is great for that purpose.

Works really well but when I crated carrots, the parts are permanently stained orange

I bought this attachment because I was hosting a party attended by someone with a potato allergy. Most pre-shredded cheeses have potato starch in them. Like all Kitchen Aide attachments it was easy to use and clean. And all my freshly shredded cheeses were delicious. I’ll never hand shred anything again.

It works and is well made, but all the cheese didn't fall out of it (possibly too narrow?).

Love it. Gifted it to daughter with several attachments and she is cookkng more than ever and having fun. Works excellent and very beautiful.

Does a good job but not the most super useful. Mostly we just use it to cut the cheese. If your short on space may need to just keep grading by hand.
