Perfect Halloween movie and a classic too! The artwork looks great on the steelbook case!

It's nice to see this movie rereleased with a digital copy, but there are a couple of things I don't like about it. 1) The box art looks like it's for the 80's movies and not this one. I think it would have been better if the inside art was on the cover of the steel book, but oh well. That's just my opinion I guess. 2) Disc is exactly the same as the old Blu-ray release, artwork & everything. It is also a bit hard to get out of the case (feels as if I'm stressing it bad every time I do). I would have preferred if the disc art was updated at a minimum. New special features would have been even better. Overall, I really like this movie and I'm happy I picked this up. The digital copy is a big bonus. Outside of my (mostly) nitpicky complaints, this is a decent release and exactly what you'd expect.

Often times, reboots are worse than the original but in the case of this new Friday the 13th, I feel it was a true return to form and a celebration of the working formula from so long ago. Plus, Jason is far faster and more brutal to give a more foreboading and intimidating antagonist. If you like slasher movies and want to watch a purely fun horror flick, this is a fun movie to watch and enjoy. And this was a great value at Best Buy, plus $8 to see It: Chapter 2 in theaters. Plus the new lenticular cover is pretty slick

Probably the WORST steelbook cover I have ever seen. A poor man's version of the original 1980's poster even though this is the remake. Looks aside, this is still a great horror film, a little too clean and "hip" as compared to the grit of the previous films. Can recommend, just HATE the cover art.

Very few horror remakes are good. Their usually horrible. I think "Dawn of the dead" is one of the best remakes I have ever seen. This "Friday the 13th" is the other. Forget Freddy,Michael,Child's play and whatever else they tried to reboot or remake. This one's really a combination of the first two movies and it works.

Purchased the version with $8 Movie Money to see IT Chapter 2 and a Lenticular Slipcover. The lenticular slip is AWESOME! As you tilt it back and forth you see his eyes move, as if they're following you. Not really a fan of this remake, but for the price and the lenticular there was no way to pass it up.

For those of you who are tired of the "old slow" Jason, this movie is different!! It's not really a reboot because it has little to do with Jason's mother....it moves on with a faster smarter Jason. This is not just another Friday the 13th movie....you might be surprised...I was impressed.

This movie is a classic horror movie which turned into one of the greatest series of horror movies. It stands the test of time and is still popular to this day. This movie needs to be in any horror movie collection. I highly recommend this movie.

Don’t let the digital image deceive you, this steelbook looks amazing. The red shines brilliantly giving it an amazing look. And as for the actual movie, I think it’s a good interpretation of the Friday the 13 franchise and holds up well!

The slasher strikes again! It was a very entertaining movie!!

What a great deal for remake movie. Friday the 13th series was always been my favorite. I did not have any of them on Blu ray.. so I was really happy to add this one to my collection.

it has the extended version. But I bought it for the 8.00 movie money for It chapter 2. But theres no theaters in fargo that honor it. So if your buying for the movie money SKIP it..

Great movie on blu ray. Picture is crisp and clear. The only downside is the steelbook is a bit on the plain side, but hey its nice to have it in a steelbook for your collection.

I love this movie, so when I saw Best Buy had an exclusive steelbook I had to have it. My only slight complaint is it's not 4k. If Best Buy ever gets a 4k steelbook of Friday the 13th I'll buy it again.

Been wanting this for our digital Halloween collection. True classic. Having it in BestBuy's SteelBook made it even more awesome. Also looking to pick up 2018 Halloween in 4k SteelBook!

Must have exclusive steelbook of Friday the 13th reboot. I'm one of the few that enjoys this better than the original films. Plus a digital copy is included.

One of the seminal horror films of all time & a pioneer of the slasher genre. Christmas present for my daughter who’s found & loves ‘80’s horror.

This steelbook is the 2009 remake and not the 1980 original as described. The cover is basically the same as the 1980 movie poster which threw me off. I figured this was the remake since it was called the Killer Cut and I already have the 2009 version on bluray and it's called the Killer Cut. Also, the inside of the Steelbook shows a picture of Jason and anybody that knows Friday the 13th knows Jason isn't in the original movie. Still a good movie though.

I like it I grew up with Friday the 13 sence the beginning

This remake is a decent horror film. While it didn’t spawn sequels like the original, I liked this remake more than a lot of the other original horror remakes.
