Friday the 13th, not a bad remake of the 1980 Friday the 13th. This 2009 remake takes place during the first three films. It’s a good horror/thriller film

Love the steelbook design. The movie is alright, typical Friday slasher film. If you want something cheesy but ok then watch it!

This was a pretty good movie I was really happy to find the cool Steelbook and to be able to add this one to my collection.

Even though I already owned a digital copy of this movie when I saw this 10th Anniversary SteelBook I just couldn’t resist! I just love how it has a retro design (which appears to take inspiration from the posters of multiple movies in the series) on the outside & a modern theatrical poster look on the inside. I don’t think many Friday fans look at the Reboot very fairly. There were things I liked about this movie & things I didn’t like but I can say that I think this a really good modern take on Friday the 13th. I found it scary, tense & it had some jump out of your seat moments. I found the hero compelling & likable. Unfortunately some of the dialogue feels less realistic than that of the classic movies but it was generally okay. There’s a lot of nostalgia to be found in this movie from various objects, kills, environmental design & plot elements that reference the classic movies. I like (most of) the classic versions of Jason & I also like this one. They’re different but also very similar & I think comparing them is one of the fun things about this reboot. This one’s in my top five for Friday the 13th movies.

Even though I personally don’t like this film, I have to say that the design on this steelbook is not that bad.

Fun horror movie and remake of an old classic, not going to surprise you but overall a good movie!
