This is a reboot of the Jason legend, but it is NOT what you think. It also is NOT a sequel. Jason's mother appears in the first few minutes of the movie and then it goes from there. . . and Jason is quite different here. He is no longer the slow large killer you know from the other movies. This Jason sets traps to lure his victims, and also runs--- yes, runs!!--- after his soon to be victims. He also uses a bow and arrow. If you are a fan of the Jason saga, you will find this one quite interesting.

I thought it was great! Sure, Some sub par acting, but let’s be honest here, most people don’t watch the Friday series for the acting. This is actually a reboot of part 2, which I love. So many fans rioted when they didn’t cast Kane Hodder as Jason, but I gotta he honest with you, Derek Mears makes a better Jason than he does. They give Jason some emotion, he isn’t some unstoppable demon possessed killing machine. He doesn’t have supernatural powers, he’s just a grown up boy who watched someone kill his mom. This might actually be my favorite Friday movie out of all of them. Truly, give it a watch. It’s really good!

More like a summery of the first three of the original series, this take on Friday the 13th ups the gore and the sex. Good but not great.

I always enjoyed horror movies ,the first time I saw this movie was in the theater when I was a teenager I really enjoyed it.when it came out on DVD many years ago,the video was good back then,then it came out on blue-ray disc I purchase it again. man the picture quality was really good, the audio was good also,now the steel book release is out , for collectors its a must purchase,I bought one!

I like the art of the steelbook, enough to buy this on sale. but that doesn't make this mediocre movie any better.

This movie was a good attempt at a reboot of the franchise. Although there are plenty of plot holes.

Steel book was in excellent condition...but it wasn’t the original “Friday the 13th.” This movie was okay but not what I wanted. Additionally, the digital code was already expired according to the label on the case. Fortunately I’d barely peeled off the plastic before I realized the error. Best Buy understood and allowed me to return it w/o any issues.

It's a good movie to watch on Halloween I've seen many great movies this was not half bad

For a horror movie, this was average. Usual amount of slasher activity.

I am a fan of remake or redo of the first three Friday 13th that this movie is. A lot of people had other opinions but I just looked it as a fun redo of Jason and the series. The only thing that confuses me is why there was no second disc.
