This is a great game. My grandkids will sit there and play it all day if I would let them. Great job thank you.

At the time of buying this, $40 asking price may be bit steep for most with only a single game mode with 4 maps, one of which released the day the physical copy of the game came out. The only balancing issues that I feel need addressed are Jason's grabs being use-able immediately on teleporting and the counselors break away mechanic pretty well only working if you're the lucky on that got pulled back into the game as Tommy. Connection issues can be a nuisance as well, and high latency in games is regular problem. That said though, when the game hits on all cylinders it is absolutely amazing. The feeling of dread from the films is captured almost perfectly when you're playing as a counselor. Is Jason waiting outside the cabin you've just searched for the items you need to escape or defend youself? Did he set traps on the doors and windows to prevent your escape? The queues meant to let you know Jason is nearby also increase that tension. Music queues when he's within a certain distance get your heart pounding, and the flash of static when he teleports near you set you frantically spinning your camera. The opposite can be said of Jason; you're a force of nature, an unstoppable killing. You're given the tools to efficiently stalk your prey, but each iteration of Jason feels just different enough to matter. With the roadmap of expected updates published by the developer and the sheet amount of fun and terror this game has, I can wholeheartedly recommend a buy, especially if you're a fan of the films. Hopefully connection issues are addressed as well. There are more maps, counselors, versions of Jason, and some kind of single player experience on the way. I can't wait to see where this game goes.

Hide and Seek for Adults: the Video game

This game is a lot of fun, and if you're a fan of those old 70-80's horror era slashers, well you'll get even more mileage out of the game. It's basically hide and seek where one character doesn't just seek, he kills. The game can be tense and scary, and benefits from the fun and thrills you'll get trying to work with other players online - then choosing the right moment to ditch them because hey, it means your life! My only complaint is as fun as it is to be Jason, he's almost TOO powerful at times. But it just makes it that more of a rush when you get to escape - or come oh so close. The game's servers and some other elements have been a bit buggy - this was a crowd sourced game without the benefit of a big company backing it - but they've done a great job of continually smoothing out issues, and adding new content.

This is the first strictly online multiplayer gave I've owned. The graphics and gameplay are a lot of fun, however there are still glitches with the servers overall.

its not every day you get to play a slasher movie as a video game. the more you play the better characters/weapons you get. really like this one.

If you’re looking for a fun and exciting game that involves multiplayer or surviving on your own, this is it! Friday the 13th is a challenging game that will keep you on the edge of your seat, worth a pick up for its affordable price.

I originally got this excited to have the chance to play Jason but have surprisingly found myself enjoying the counselors more (die a lot but it's still fun). The game is lacking a certain polish (probably a bit of a rush to get it to release date of October Friday the 13th 2017) and it only has online multiplayer, no single player. But I've found it fun and addicting.

I was not really wanting to play this until my kids got me into it. It’s so much fun to play as the counselors or as Jason! I love that you can play with friends online as well.

Inexpensive and worth the money it play with friends. The 7v1 where one person is Jason and the rest are camp counselors is great!

Bought this game for my wife and son. They are huge Friday the 13th fans. Game is good. Game play is addictive and challenging. The only issue is that I did not realize that it was an online only game. Must be a PS Plus member.

Being online only takes off 1 star automatically according to my criteria. Beginning from level 1 against players with level 30 up to 101 makes it a bit frustrating and unfair. This may help you understand what to expect from this game since is people that decides the fate of every player. Not to mention that I have encounter a few bugs on the game (already reported). Also people teaming up with Jason, which make it ridiculous and totally destroys the meaning of this game. Needs control over this unfair matches and unfair people in order, also needs an offline game mode in order to achieve excellence. Recommended for the true fans of the saga or the genre, since this kind of people seems to enjoy it more than the ones that only play to get a few laughs.

We already preordered this game because my son played it online and it looks pretty cool. You can try to defeat Jason or take the role of the campers and try to destroy Jason once and for all. Good luck.

The game is fun with friends. Playing solo with a bunch of random people is okay, but strategizing to try and avoid Jason is a blast. Pretty good graphics, brutal kills and very good replay value.

If your looking for a game you can play offline and online skip. Its fun and reminds you of all the Friday the 13th movies. Who will you be Jason or his end?

My guys are huge Jason fans and we're excited when they found out they we're making a Friday the 13th game. This game doesn't disappoint. It has great graphics. My guys especially love how they can be Jason or campers. This is a bloody game. If your squeamish this game is not for you.

This game definitely has its flaws but overall it's fun. It's pretty rare to spawn as Jason, so expect to play as a counselor most of the time.
