This newer version has a dry setting that helps with the humidity. So far so good. I wish window units in general where made to be recharged when they start losing the chill. Seems like such a waste if materials.

First time it worked ok, but now it kind of works on 'fan' for awhile until the AC kicks in. Should have returned it...but it was such work to get it into our awkward space for the basement we decided to keep it, for this year at least.

If you are experiencing cooling issues, please check the following conditions: clean air filter, if dirty, set air conditioner to a lower temperature, re position air louvers for a more efficient air flow, make sure the appliance is not blocked by drapes, blinds, furniture etc., and close all doors, windows and other cool air escapes.
