The last freezer was at least 50 years old- and if they only made like they use too ...I certainly would have paid 30% more with 20 year warranty

It was delivered yesterday and when we got it out of the box, both sides had long dents in and scratches. I was disappointed, but I was very happy to have this freezer. So I was going to overlook that, but then we got it set up and finally plugged it in and it sounded like an airplane taking off in the room. It was deafeningly loud and there was also a loud whining sound. We tried adjusting the temperature, but the sound continued. It was like that for hours and we could hear it throughout the entire house. It also smelled hot. I do not know if this is normal for this model or it is defective. Either way it is going back. You cannot hold a conversation in the same room as this freezer and if you are in their for long you need noise dampening headsets. Terrible product.

I have to admit I like upright freezers more for normal home use. This item works without issue for some time, but I wish I went bigger.
