    I added this to my Son's window in a big bedroom; much larger than the 150 square feet listed on the south side of the house. I usually leave the fan running as well as he likes the fan sound while he sleeps so it pretty much has been running nonstop for 3 months. The compressor is quiet enough that its hard to tell when its running. Great unit.
