We were told by the salesman that you could control the air flow in all directions but that was not the case. It only flows left and right and not up. As this was over our bed, it was continuously blowing cold air on our heads. Not okay with that.

Which very disappointing. I bought this unit for my bedroom and a different more powerful one for my living room. I ended up returning this unit for something more powerful for the living room and moved my living room one to the bedroom. The one I bought for the living room the second time was also Frigidaire and I ended up returning that one. The bottom line is that they cool about half of the amount that they claim to cool. I left them both running for over 3 hours at High Fan, Cool (not eco) and put to 67 degrees, but the room still felt muggy and warm. What's worse is that these Frigidaire ACs don't have a hole or anywhere for the water to drain out to. So when I pulled the unit out of the window to go return it, all the water spilled all over my floor in my bedroom.

The mode should be set to Cool or Eco on a high or automatic fan speed for quick cooling, and extreme outside temperatures may affect the rate at which a room is cooled.
