Air-conditioners made for casement windows, since they aren't highly in demand, cost more than air-conditioners of a similar rating . I bought four of these air-conditioners for 60% of what two casement models would cost. I mounted them one above the other where the old casement models were. They're more efficient than the casement models , and both running together make less noise than the old casement models. They have an economy mode so the fans don't run when the temperature is cool enough. I'm very pleased with them… Good, solid , little air-conditioners .
