    Took a chance and bought 2 at once. Depended on reviews... We’re in a climate here in northern Maine that doesn’t demand serious constant AC but we get days where we’ll easily meet the 90’s plus plus... here and there... so it’s a necessity on days like the one we’re having now... Love the eco setting and it’s not as loud as some commentators stated in my opinion. We have both of them running today on the second floor, cause it’s hot. They’re both working well. Both are set in the eastern front of this home and gets the morning sun. It doesn’t matter... in a different climate it may have a negative effect as I’m sure it could. They'll both be out of the direct sun for last 1/2 of the day because they’re positioned on the eastern wall... so that’ll help them work more efficiently as the manufacturer recommends. One bedroom is a NE bedroom, and the other a SE bedroom so it does get an eastern exposure in the morning and a southern exposure for the rest of the day.... it’s doesn’t seem to be effecting that all that much, it’s early in the day. That said at this point it would be working the hardest it will all day because the southern exposure only has one window... hope that helps... have a great day.

    Purchased two of these window units for the two bedrooms in our house, and they're absolutely perfect. We close off the door to the other half of our home and let these two units cool our bedrooms, hallway, and shared bathroom and they do the job great. I feel much better leaving our pets in the house while we're at work in the summertime after purchasing these!
