This unit is a decent bare-bones mechanically operated air conditioner. There are no thermostats or energy saver features: when it’s hot in the room, you turn it on and set the cooling level & fan speed as desired... when it gets too cold or isn’t needed, you walk over and turn it off. This is why it’s $80 less than other air conditioners with automatic features. It seems to cool the area footage described. We purchased it to supplement an area in the house where other air conditioning didn’t reach. Additionally, using this unit with a room fan increases its reach & effectiveness.

It’s kind of noisy but is good for being a Manuel and affordable item

This AC was received in a well packaged shipping box. It was easy to install and seems to work as expected although I have only used it twice as Maine summer nights have been mostly cool. It was installed in an unusual window (not double hung and 21 inches wide). I was able to get a good fit with minor modifications to the sliders.

It’s nice to have it on a hot summer months. It doesn’t take a lot of time for the room to get cold. High performance for less price. And it’s really easy to assemble. Highly recommended.

Have it in a 12x13 room, and it cools like crazy. If I leave the door open, it'll definitely keep that end of the whole hall comfortable and probably cooler than necessary. Makes some funky noises, particularly for the first half hour. Not a quiet unit, but blows the most noticably cool air of my three ACs.

I am completely impressed! This little unit does a big sized job! I have a 600+ sq ft 2nd floor apt with full west facing and this unit (with some help from fans to move the air) is keeping the apt between 71-72 degrees. And this good job in the 90s, full afternoon sun, heat wave day after day while on the highest "low cool" setting. It's relatively quiet in that it's no louder than my average fans. I would buy it again in a second and definitely recommend for anyone/any home.

This is a nice little window air conditioner for use in a bedroom. It was very easy to install, unlike a previous ac I had. It cools well and is quiet. The price was very reasonable and the delivery from Best Buy ( online) was quick. Over all, I am very pleased with my purchase.
