It was delivered March 22 and the freezer handle is already rusting. I worry about how this is going to look in a few years. Very disappointed.

Stainless steel contains chromium which reacts with the oxygen in the air to form a protective film on the surface of stainless steel. This can occur in areas that have salt in the air. This protective layer prevents stainless steel from rusting or oxidizing in the traditional sense of red oxide flaking off the steel. If you do see a rust like form on your stainless steel, it is most likely iron particles or contaminants on the surface. You may want to clean it with hot and soapy water or use a cleaner such as a stainless steel cleaning polish and conditioner, which some of our consumer’s have used and found very helpful. After the warranty date. Needless to say it has stopped working completely, except for the light. I paid for a repair man and he said it needed to be replaced.I am highly disappointed that it did not last even five years. I brought it based on reviews. Buyer beware.

It stopped working and needed a new compressor. Frigidaire only stands by their products for ONE year. I remember when kitchen appliances were built to last, and sadly that is not the case with this product. When I reached out to customer support, I was told "we can't provide a lifetime warranty." I wasn't asking for a lifetime warranty, I was asking what support they offered someone outside of ONE YEAR. I know Frigidaire is not the only appliance company who has no faith in their own products; however, I am dissatisfied enough by not only the product but the "customer support" to convince me to never purchase a Frigidaire product ever again.
