Purchased only 3yrs warranty and as luck would have it, in the fourth year the cooling system doesn't perform the same (and it's the heart of summer in NYC) ice cream doesn't get hard just stay a soft consistency. My water pitcher isn't cold eithe I overstock one level on the door so that broke, can't find a replacement so whenever someone opens the door everything tumbles onto the floor

This thing is so loud!!!!! It sounds like you have a pinball machine in your house! Rattling noise every time it turns on. Had to buy another fridge and stick this in the basement because way too noisy. Would not recommend to anyone! Apparently it's a problem with other reviews too. Save your money do not buy.

I've owned this for less than three years. The white plastic parts have started breaking. I can't use a drawer because the part that holds it up is broken. Another white plastic part on the lower shelf has broken. This is a second fridge in our basement and is not used frequently.

We bought a house and this was the only size refrigerator that would fit in the space made for the fridge. The over all look is nice (we got the matching gas range and over the range microwave). However since day one, the freezer door will not stay closed. Each time someone gets into the refrigerator, the freezer door pops open just enough to to let the ice, ice cream, etc melt. It’s quite annoying let me tell you. To keep the gallons of milk cold, I have it set to just below the coldest setting but then things on the top shelf freeze. I like to get groceries once every 2 weeks but because we are a larger family, I usually have to cut back on cold stuff because not every thing will fit in this fridge. So I find myself going to the store often for refrigerated items and gallons of milk.

I purchased this item to replace a similar refrigerator from another brand that was making irregular noises. To my surprises, the Frigidaire FFTR1821TW makes a lot of noise on a consistent basis. When inquiring about the noises with the manufacturer, Frigidaire assured me that the loud, popping, gurgling, and boiling noises (their words, not mine!) were to be expected in normal operation. While the unit cools well, it does not do so quietly. I'd go as far as to say the noise is often disruptive. I must not be the first to complain, because Frigidaire has provided me with two different "sound guide" documents that detail all of the noises coming from the appliance. I'd recommend purchasing from a different brand that offers a model that operates quietly.

It does what it supposed to. I had this refrigerator for over 4 years. The only down side it its plastic parts are on the thin side and can break easily. When purchasing make sure you check the sides and back. I didnt until it was time to clean behind and there was a huge dent

This is my second Frigidaire refrigerator bought in case my older one goes out. Already noticing the ice cream doesn't freeze and fridge is not as cold. Old one does great on recommend setting, but this one leaves ice cream soft.

A basic refrigerator that performs extremely well. I would buy it again.

After retiring my previous Frigidaire after 30 yrs of faithful service I bought this one and it made strange knocking noises after starting up. So I exchanged it with no questions asked, but the replacement made the same sounds, plus the motor is whinier. Don't tell me it's normal. The knocking/popping sounds wake me up at night. I don't know what to do, since it seems like a lot of newer models are not designed like the old ones. I want the quietest 18cu. ft. fridge that you have, that doesn't knock.

Has tons of issues with cold spots that cause damage to food in the fridge.

Only lasted 3 years. Wont keep anything frozen. Refrigerators should last longer than 3 years.

Frigidaire refrigerator model FFHT1824US I have been buying appliances for 50 years and this is the absolute worst designed refrigerator that we’ve ever purchased. The layout is horrible. The older, smaller refrigerator that we replaced had a much better layout and held more groceries than this one. To use all of the available space in the door, you will have to buy the bins extra and also pay the extra shipping. The shelf spacing must have been designed by an alien who never saw a pop can because you can’t put one in upright on the second shelf. It only needed ¼ inch more space and it would have been great. Also the shelf are designed so that any item pushed toward the back on any shelf will fall over because of the raised border. A real pain in the rear. Also, you have to firmly push both the top and bottom door closed or it will stay open. No amount of leveling (or un-leveling) or adjusting will fix it. All of the many refrigerators we have had in the past would close simply by letting go or a slight push toward close. Whenever we called customer service, we got a person that new absolutely nothing about taking care of a problem, didn’t care about your problem and told us to call the store where we purchased it.

I strongly recommend against the purchase of any Frigidaire products. Our Frigidaire Gallery fridge and dishwasher have had multiple problems since shortly after purchase requiring multiple visits from service techs. Quality is horrible - stay away!!

Broken after one year. Price to fix was more than it was worth. Do not buy this u it.
