    Freezer quit working

    This failed on me before I could even finish my payments on it. An entire freezer full of elk and fish is gone because of this. I will not trust a Frigidaire again,

    I am done with best buy. Tried 2 times to get a freezer and you failed. I had already got a bill and still didnt have one that worked

    I put freezer in my garage. After about a week it started alarming out for being too warm, food was thawing. After moving indoors it is working now. How long...? Do I contact Best Buy or mfg?

      This unit is a garage-ready freezer and is designed to perform in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 110°F (-17.7°C to 43.3°C). Check freezer temperatures and adjust the temperature control as needed. Set control to a colder setting until the appliance temperature is satisfactory. Allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize.

    Stopped working after 7 months

    The freezer worked great for about 7 months, but then stopped getting any colder than about 40 degrees. Currently awaiting warranty service to see if they stand behind their product.

    Returned it because it was just like one we had problems with - the order was a mistake based on picture on web site. We ordered a Best Buy Insignia brand instead.

    I bought 2. Neither work well. Frost builds up requiring requent manual defrosting and cleaning. 1 of 2 has never froze ice cream and completely broke down after 3 mos. STILL waiting for part.

    Love our new freezer. It is larger than the old one we had, It is also easier to see if it is still working by looking for the green light at the base of the front door.

    We searched on line for an upright freezer in the Best Buy website. We found a 20.0 cu ft freezer for a good price at said location. We called and got the information we requested and thereby purchased the freezer. The freezer was delivered as promised. The delivery was excellent and the persons delivering it were very proffesional and careful. We highly recommend BEST BUY.

    Got this as a gift for my daughter. It is big and exactly what I was looking for. If I was looking to buy myself a new freezer right now, this is the one I would pick for myself.

    Dead Just After Warraty Expired.

    The alarm of death and flashing green light let us know something was wrong with our freezer. After trying the power off reset procedure several times and cleaning the dust off of the coils in the back, we ended up calling an appliance repair man. We had tried calling Frigidaire customer service but after cycling through the automated system, we were told that due to heavy call volume they could not take our call and promptly hung up. Heavy call volume ?? There must be a reason for that. Try calling their number and watch what happens. Anyway, less than a month after our 12 month warranty expired, the compressor has failed. A closed system which will cost half of what a new freezer would cost. We should have paid attention to the weird noises the freezer was making along the way but just assumed that was normal. Apparently not.

    I like the space , and how it locks once you close it . Have to wait for a little bit to reopen again . Great feature as if you forgot to close it all the way , the light doesn’t come on
