My home was build in 1952 and I have a small galley kitchen. My last refrigerator was a new model and 26 cu ft. It stuck out past the doorway and I felt it did not fit in the kitchen. I did my research and decided to downsize to a refrigerator that fit in my kitchen. This refrigerator is exactly what I hoped for! The counter depth was the best size for me. I thought I would compromise in size but I don't feel that the 23 cu ft is much smaller inside than my 26 cu ft. My biggest concern was the description of the color. Pearl White confused me. I do not like stainless steal and so I took a chance on this refrigerator which I purchased without ever physically seeing. I was afraid pearl white might be a creamish color but no it was white just like the other appliances in my kitchen. I wonder how many people hesitated on their purchase because of the wording pearl white. There seems to be some crackling noises like it might be coming from the ice maker or just settling in. Nothing to really concern me. I chock it up to house noises. I am very happy with my purchase so far. I've had it for two weeks now.

We bought this model because it had the features we wanted; Counter depth, side-by-side, black. Interestingly enough there are very few choices available having these three requirements. We didn't see this model on display but thought the quality would be similar to the other Frigidaire models on display at Best Buy. The quality of this model is inferior to what we expected. We found that the sliding bins/draws squeak, there are many odd sounds that come from the unit, the interior lighting is insufficient and the interior materials don't seem to be solid enough to withstand average use. Additionally, the panel that covers the digital read-outs on the front door is separating from the door. Looks like the adhesive that holds the panel in place is defective. We did purchase the Geek Squad Protection Plan for the unit. We called about the panel issue and the Geek Squad put us in touch, directly, with a Frigidaire representative. He was well-meaning enough; he put us on hold to call a local service company and to arrange a service call. He gave us a service call reference number and told us that the local Frigidaire service company will call us directly to set up a time to come to our home. It's been five days. We have not received that call! Don't be enticed by the price of this unit. Don't buy it.

This refrigerator is terrific at 22.6 cf of space, side-by-side refrigerator-freezer, ice - maker, and deli drawer all in a beautiful ebony finish.

since I live alone, this is right for me. Glad no kids use the ice dispenser or I would have cubes everywhere

This refrigerator is very nice, especially considering the great price! It is counter depth, which is a big space saver. The stainless steel on the outside is nice and easy to clean. The interior shelves are adaptable and hold plenty of food. It is extremely quiet. The ice maker and water dispenser work great. No complaints and very happy with the purchase!

I waited a long time to get a frig with ice and water in the door. The first refrigerator I ordered wouldn't fit through the narrow door of my 1960's kitchen. But the design of this model fit through the door and had all the features I wanted. Now that ice water is so easily obtainable, I am drinking more water which was one of my health goals. This frig is also great for fruits and vegetables. With my old frig, they often went to waste, but this frig allows me more time to enjoy and eat my fresh produce.

It's a great fridge. I just wish it had more room and bigger spaces on the side of the fridge

Installation was delayed 3 times. Unit is 2 months old: temperature is off and ice maker does not work. Not sure if this is fault of refrigerator or Best Buy installation.

Coming from a standard depth 36'' top freezer, the capacity is comparable. At least I am not loosing too much space due to the middle divider and the ice maker. The side is black, and only the front is in stainless steel. For the price I paid, it is expected. The door height is a bit hard to adjust. After we place everything on the door, we have to adjust the fridge door again. After a little over one month of usage, I can say that it serves its purpose for a no thrill side-by-side fridge. It keeps my perishables fresh, and my frozen goodies frozen. Knowing what I am getting, I am satisfy with my purchase.

We had GE, Maytag, LG, and Frigidaire appliances. By comparison, Frigidaire is as good if not better as the other brands. Very good quality and reliable as far as we can tell. Good looking too! We bought this one for another house of ours.

This ain’t one that has all the bells and whistles. Purchased for a rental property and does the job need a little guidance but for the most part it’s good.

Got a great deal as an open box and works great. Never have had an issue and have owned sine Feb 2017

I had to send this item back twice and finally choose another refrigerator. It was always scratched and the outside ice door falls off because it is just on thete by Velcro. Do yourself a favor choose something else.

Enough room vs the conventional refridgerator. Like the fact it added passing space to a very small kitchen. Doesn't "stick out" and is very much like the other refridgerators. I really like my purchase

I really like the Frigidaire - 22.6 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth Stainless-Steel, Side-by-Side Refrigerator. It works very well in a small kitchen but still provides a good size and beautiful Refrigerator.

Wish I would have known that I had to order a counter depth refrigerator.

The first reviewer who wrote about the strange sounds probably didn't read the owner's manual. Since this model has water/ice/crushed ice through the door, it does make sounds that a fridge without a water dispenser wouldn't make. In the owner's manual there is a very detailed list of all the sounds the unit makes from time to time as it operates. Even though you will occasionally hear ice dropping into the bin, or the door to the ice dispenser opening and closing when you use it this is overall the quietest running fridge I've owned. The actual compressor that every fridge has is very quiet, and so is the air circulation fan (which older basic units don't even have). The best things about the Frigidaire counter-depth models, besides the fact that Frigidaire was the first company to make a counter-depth fridge, is the on-the-door digital panel where you can set the freezer and fridge temperatures separately, and by one degree at a time. Not the usual old "1 - 9" dial inside the fridge, which set both freezer and refrigerator sections to the same setting. I bought a fridge thermometer to confirm that a setting of 36 degrees on the fridge's digital panel was indeed a 36 degree temp inside the fridge. Same for the zero degree setting on the freezer side. The spill-proof shelves are great because they are more supportive than the typical wire shelves, and the top two pull out. There are 2 bins for fruits and veggies and one for meat/deli/cheese. All bins are see-though. I never had a fridge with see-through bins before (they were always white). You can easily see what's in them just by opening the door to the fridge. Smart design. The door of the fridge has lots of space, with a can holder and gallon-size bottle space, too. I wanted a unit that would look built-in and it fits the 36' x 70" opening in my kitchen perfectly. Standard fridges that are 36" wide would stick out into the kitchen at least 5", some as much as 7" or 8". My old fridge stuck out over 5" and gaining just this little amount of floor space makes the kitchen look much more open and larger. Overall a great refrigerator at a very good price from the first company to start making refrigerators almost 100 years ago. I expect years and years of it working perfectly. (Frigidaire invented through-the-door ice and water dispensing, too), The delivery crew was great and they set up everything right down to it being level and running/dispensing water. He handed me the extended warranty offer and I asked him if I should get it. "Not with this model" he said. Very reliable manufacturer.

- The energy star label on line was $57/yr but when I got the fridge delivered, the energy star tag showed $73/yr - It makes strange noises and crackling - the fridge shelves didn't fit correctly - the ice cream shelf support broke the first day I got the fridge - the front finish is shine - not matt or texturized at all

Our fridge is around 18 months old and has been repaired 3 times. Each time we've had to throw out all of the food costing us tons of money. The latest repair (for the same part, the motherboard / control board) was out of warranty so we had to pay out of pocket. We purchased a dishwaser at the same time as our fridge and it also was repaired at 13 months for the same problem. Junk products, I would not recommend frigidiaire to anyone, especially this fridge.
