Even when run water first and then turn on, there is a sharp clunk as it begins. The rubber guard in the sink drain is so “dense” that it’s difficult for water and vegetable scraps to go down the drain. We have to push items down and press the side of the rubber guard to allow stuff to even enter the disposal. Bought this model based on good reviews of its larger sister model. It seems to dispose of scraps okay, but it’s not the ideal disposal. Plumber did not install the utensil guard, but no need since nothing can get past the rubber guard without a little help.

Needed plumber after install

Thought it was strange the guy kept telling me verify no leak. And of course by the next day there was a leak. I am a total tech member for years but hard to complain about this and get your money back because I had to get an emergency plumber over.
