Opted for the newer version as it had more BTU. Had to get this unit as I have small windows

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t aware the unit had to be within a few feet of a window (for the exhaust) in order for it to run the AC, so it’s only good for one room at a time, and only room with windows in them. It worked well enough for the month I had it.

Note that this portable AC is only meant to be used in a large bedroom that is 350 to 450 sq. ft., rather than cooling multiple rooms at once. Additionally, according to the Use and Care Guide, when this unit is in the Cool Mode the appliance must be placed close to a window or opening so that the warm exhaust air can be ducted outside. This does mean the unit needs to be near a window when cooling, but only in that mode. Nonetheless, we are sad to learn that you've chosen to move on.
