So far so good. This is pretty quiet. Makes a bit of noise but that is typical for air conditioners. Cools down quick and great size for our bedroom. Easy setup without the lifting of a window unit.

    See you later summer heat!

That summer heat got me! Not sure if you’re like me where you live in an area where central air or even windowed air conditioning isn’t provided. To be fair I live pretty close to the beach (about 3 miles) so it’s never really been a thing where homes or apartments came with central/windowed air conditioning. Thank you to Frigidaire’s 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner; I no longer have to suffer being baked in my place. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment (bottom floor) and the Frigidaire 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner is perfect for me. As I mentioned that I live near the beach so it does also get quite humid but thanks to the Frigidaire 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner I don’t have that problem anymore since it also dehumidifies. Setting up and using the Frigidaire 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner is honestly pretty straight forward. You are provided clear instructions and parts on how to set up the unit and attach it to your window. Just like with any portable air conditioner you need to set up the exhaust hose at a window. So personally what I like to do since I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and the portable air conditioner isn’t “central air”; I use a fan to circulate the cool air to reach my living room and kitchen since the Frigidaire 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner is set up in my bedroom. If you’re someone that lives in a one bedroom apartment or needs a portable air conditioner to cool a specific room; the Frigidaire 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner has you covered. A portable air conditioner that is easy to set up, looks great in your place, and ultimately helps cool your place down during those hot summer days and nights; the Frigidaire 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner checked off on all my needs. If you have trouble staying in your place during summer or sleeping at night during those hot summer nights; I definitely recommend the Frigidaire 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner.

I recently purchased the Frigidaire 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner Model #FHCP102AC1 and have been very pleased with its performance. The unit works exceptionally well within the manufacturer's stated coverage area of 450 sq ft, maintaining a comfortable 17-19° differential in room temperature. Setting up the air conditioner was straightforward, and it quickly started to cool the room effectively. However, I did find the noise level to be slightly louder than I would have preferred, though it's not a dealbreaker for me. One thing to note is that if you have vertical sliding windows, you might encounter some difficulty when installing the exhaust. I highly recommend purchasing an exhaust vent kit specifically designed for vertical sliding windows from Amazon to make the installation process smoother. Overall, this Frigidaire unit is a solid choice for anyone looking to cool a medium-sized room efficiently. It delivers on its promises and provides good value for the price.

Good AC unit for small to medium size bedrooms

Summary: This is a good air conditioning unit from Frigidaire for small to medium bedrooms. Despite Frigidaire stating that this 10,000 btu air conditioner would work for medium to large room, I found it struggled in my 440 square foot room, to be fair, I live in an upstairs unit with poor insulation. This air conditioner other features include: dehumidifier, dust filter, and ionizer. In the Box: Frigidaire 3-in-1 Portable 10,000 BTU Air Conditioner Window plate Heat exhaust hose Hardware Setup and Use: Just like most portable air conditioners, most consist of a window plate that easily fits to most windows sizes and orientation. However, I did find that the Frigidaire window plate provided was a bit more flimsy and poorly designed as well as a bit cumbersome to install. I probably went over the top and used ducting tape to help hold it in place as well as seal all the small cracks hot air can get in. I used this in my 440 square foot room and it did have some trouble cooling down the room but it could also be contributed to living in an upstairs unit with poor insulation. Conclusion: If you're looking to cool down a small to medium size room, this would be perfect but if you're looking for too cool a large room, you might want do more research.

Hi, TechNerd! Thanks for sharing your experience with us regarding your air conditioner. We recommend making sure that the area you're cooling is not exposed to direct sunlight and that all windows, blinds, and doors are closed to help circulate the air better. If you have a ceiling fan, you may also find that it will also help cool the area down faster. If this does not resolve your issues, we’re here to help. Feel free to chat with us online at www.frigidaire.com or via phone at 800-374-4432 Mon-Fri 8:30am – 8:00pm EST. ~Courtney Frigidaire

On my second summer with this unit and it has performed very well so far. Simple setup and easy maintenance. A little loud at times, but if you dont have it in a hardwood floor room with plaster walls (like me) its probably not very bad at all.

Love this. This machine has saved me from my roommates need to keep the house at 72. It perfectly fits my 400sq ft room and drops the temp almost immediately after turning on. Only drawback is the remote. Changing modes or +/- the temp, if the remote isn’t pointed directly at the unit, the remote will change but the unit won’t. So I could in theory be wondering why the remote is set to 66 and the unit is blowing 72 air, or why I hit change mode 3x and it’s now dehumidifying my room instead of instead of turning on the fan. If you don’t hear a beep, it didn’t pick up the remote signal. The remote doesn’t sync with the unit which is the only drawback.

Worth the money! Nothing but cold air and cools the space listed! Easy to install, id advise buying some white duct tape to secure hose on both ends. Quiet while running waiting to get power bill on energy cost but VERY pleased so far with this purchase!

Works great. A little louder than expected. Cools larger bedroom decently. Large in size and measure the distance from the wall in your space. Window vent can only be used one way of the window (left) for horizontal discharge, would be better on the right side for my application to save space. Overall happy with the unit.

Great product keeps my room nice and cold I love how small it is and how I can turn it what ever direction I’d like it to blow. Easy storage for the winter months. I love the convenience of the remote. All around great! Easy install I did it in about 20mins I mean just no complaints.

Product is extremely easy to set up. Does not require a water catch bin or drain hose UNLESS YOU ARE USING DEHUMIFIER FEATURE! If just using standard air conditioning just need hose to be vented to outside to exhaust the hot air. Operation is simple to set up, remote works very well. Fairly quiet for a unit of it's size but everyone has their own tolerance levels. Colling is efficient for the proper size rooms. Overall an excellent unit at a reasonable price for it's features, convenience and portability.

Very effective for a 250 sf bedroom, and more cost effective than central air. Easy to setup and use. Remote control is not very useful, but also not essential as controls on unit are easy to access.

kinda pricey for portable air conditioner but it totally worth it. Please make sure you have enough space near the window to place it at. Besides the size it or if you have plenty space in you room - thats great deal. this ac almost silent compared to the window ac's we had before.

Replaced a bedroom window unit. The exhaust venting is sort of a pain but understand the necessity in this type of device. Have had a similar portable A/C in the main living area for a couple of years, also Frigidaire. It cools well, controls are easy to understand/operate, quiet for what it is and overall it’s nice looking.

Recommended square footage is 250 sq ft and my apartment is 279 sq ft and this unit worked well for me. It kept the apartment nice and cool during the hottest part of the summer. It won't necessarily cool adjacent rooms, but it was the relief I needed for a portable AC. Great value and a lower cost option compared to other brands. I would recommend. Easy to maintain.

Needed a new AC for my room and didn’t want to get another window unit since they are a hassle to install and remove from older windows that have storm windows. Decided to buy this unit due to the great reviews and it was very easy to install. I keep the AC on 60 degrees and my room gets very cold at night to the point that I turn off the AC. One feature that I like is the swing mode that distributes the cold air in different angles. It doesn’t take long for this AC to cool my room and I’m glad I bought it. The AC is a little loud but not really that much louder than my old window unit. One thing to be aware of is that if you set the AC at higher temperatures it will cool your room down to that temperature and then stop blowing cold air until the temperature goes back up in your room. This concerned me at first but after speaking with a Fridgidaire representative on the phone I found out that this was normal. Pretty much similar to a thermostat that you set in your house for heating or control air. Overall this is a great unit and I’ve recommended it to other family members or friends.

The unit works well for a smaller room and is easy to maneuver. However, the BestBuy website claimed that it was good for a 450sq. ft. room and when it arrived the box clearly stated, highlighted in yellow, that it was only good for 250 sq. ft. I kept it because I was desperate and it does keep my small office cool. However, it does very little for the adjoining room, which is why I selected this unit. My previous unit worked well for both rooms. It looks like you have corrected it on your site but that didn't do me any good. I am still cooking on high when sitting in the chair right at the doorway of the next room. I'm sure it will work well for anyone trying to cool a 250 sq. ft. area but it was not as advertised for me. I'd give 5 stars for a smaller room but am knocking some off because I did not get was was advertised on your site at the time.
