Frigidaire (Electrolux) knows this, and they have duped the public into buying this and claiming this 'feature' which does not exist. They cannot fix it and trying to troubleshoot only leads to them blaming your cookware, which is ridiculous. I have posted my very long and thorough review online at the Amazing Ribs Pitmaster forum if you want to read the whole thing. https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com/forum/other-aa/1667756-my-3-year-review-of-our-frigidaire-induction-cooktop Would like to see Electrolux reimburse consumers for their false advertising - but we all know that in a class action suit, lawyers make millions, consumers get a coupon for $30 off a new purchase or a free membership to some online service they don't want (Equifax anyone??). Anyway - look elsewhere than Frigidaire - they intentionally mislead and outright lie about their features.

Simple controls & large central element

Given a relatively (for induction cooktops) low price, I am pleasantly surprised by the good range of heats offered. While lacking stainless edge protection, 5th or paired elements for griddle and granite countertop brackets, it is otherwise quite adequate. Drop-in replacement for standard 50A 220V 30-inch cooktop.
