I purchased this item on 1/3/2014. I bought a new unit because I wanted the reassurance of a manufacturer warranty. That was good thinking, because on 2/27/2014 it died, after less than two months of moderate use. I called Frigidaire about where to take it for repairs, and was told that they'd call back within 36-48 hours to let me know how to go about getting a replacement. They sure did. They just called to let me know that a replacement would be available in APRIL OR LATER. Sorry for the yelling, but that's a month away from now at the EARLIEST. Are you shopping for a dehumidifier that you plan to use once every month or two? Are you shopping for one you'd like to use for two months and the haul to a dumpster? Yeah, I didn't think so. Neither was I. Even worse, I just called back to see if there was anything else they could offer, and the woman I spoke to said that my records don't even show that I'm on the replacement waiting list. Terrible product and customer support to match. I will never buy another Frigidaire product.

I have had this unit running 24/7 for about 1 year now. No issues.

Great unit, our bedroom was getting musty using the A/C every night. The Frigidaire - 30-Pint Dehumidifier pulled more then a quart of water out of the room in less then 8 hours. The room was left smelling fresh. Simple to empty. Gave off very little heat compared to our old large basement unit. I just ordered the Frigidaire - 50-Pint Dehumidifier for our basement.

Great replacement for my ancient dehumidifier. No problems. Works as advertised and anticipated. I highly recommend this dehumidifier.

We bought this unit in September and loved it for the six weeks that it worked. After 6 weeks the fan continued running but it did not pull any of the moisture out of our basement. When we called Frigidaire to get a replacement or repair under the one year warranty that we had, our request was denied. They said the problem was that we lived in a cool weather climate and that by running it when the weather turns cooler this fall we had in fact damaged the unit. Nowhere was this stated in the instruction manual to not do this. Our previous unit from a different company we operated the same way and it lasted 20 years. I will never ever buy another Frigidaire or Electrolux product. I have never encountered such terrible customer service. BUYER BEWARE!
