This air-conditioner is very effective, and works as intended. Everything that I expected from this unit, and more. Frigidaire definitely got this one right! Precise internal thermostat, fast cooling, and quiet cycling. And best of all, it works with Amazon Alexa as long as it's connected to wifi. Thanks

This air conditioner does not drain the water properly. It lays in the bottom and then the fan blows it all over, a rusty mess. After 2 months it looked like 2 years old. Frigidaire said they don't cover rust. Took it back and bought a GE from Home Depot.

Hi Bobg! We certainly apologize for your experience with your air conditioner and any frustration it may have caused. The water from the air conditioner evaporates. If there is excessive moisture or it is very humid, the air conditioner may possibly drain from the bottom or rear. While we understand that you have returned your purchase, we certainly hope that you will reconsider us in the future. -Ciara

My 20 year old Panasonic unit finally died, picked up this Frigidaire unit at Best Buy. Easy to install. It's a very beautiful and contemporary unit with remote and wifi. Love the big white digital display. Did use wifi feature. Unit cool fine for my bedroom but unfortunately it was too loud for me even on the lowest setting. This unit would be OK noise wise for a larger room like living room or to drown out your noisy neighbor. End up with turning this unit and picked up a GE Ultra Quiet AC.

I have a Smart Home so I look for devices that have those features and this unit is one of the better options. I bought the first one a two years ago (from BB, of course) and it did such a great job I've added a second one this year.
At the time I bought the first, the app was wonky and it took quite a bit to get the thing in my network, but the second was up and running in minutes, which shows how far the software has come.
Alexa integration is great and I recently discovered that I could put my two units into one device group and control them together - kind of like a DIY central A/C setup! Awesome. I have Google Home too but never bothered to set it up but should be an option for that platform as well.
If they ever publish their programming interface, I'd be able to tie it into my smart home system and truly automate things but I'm still waiting. For the average person this isn't going to be a limitation though.
As far as it's performance as an A/C, it is designed for medium to small areas, but with both units and a floor fan to circulate it I have found that I can quite easily cool the majority of my first floor (I live in an average sized house but YMMV). I would add a third unit without hesitation if I felt the need for it.
Definitely recommend both this unit and buying it at Best Buy.

My a/c in my bedroom was purchased a mere week after my wife and I got married and settled into our new apartment. That was 14 years ago. It was time to put the old one in the circle file cabinet...or a dumpster in any case. So I whipped out my BBuy app and shopped around and there were a bunch on sale, yada yada blah blah blah...but then this one came up and first glance...this thing's gorgeous. It's not just your typical bland looking a/c...it's got style, class and curves rather than harsh, cold corners like a normal a/c. Bought it, picked it up, set it up and it's been in my window for a while now. I have 2 issues with this thing:
1. It's loud. I mean like a train passing by tooting it horn loud, or a room full of kids at a kids party loud. And I have it in my bedroom. Yeah I get it, over time it becomes white noise and you can actually sleep better, but sometimes it makes weird noises too on top of being loud.
2. When turning it on/off through the unit you have to double press. Kinda annoying, ok, I can live with that. But it always defaults to a certain setting...ECO. I don't want ECO, I want LOW and I want it COLD and I want it on COOL. I don't understand how it can never ever remember your last setting.
However, having the wifi app is really cool, when it works. You can be anywhere and control your a/c and if you have Alexa or Google Assistant (still think she needs a proper name BTW) in your home you can use that as well...BUT...it's a pain. I have Google Home and in order to use it, you need to ask Google to "talk to Frigidaire", then some guy comes on and decides to tell you his life story (grab a cup of coffee and sit and wait for him to finish), THEN he asks you what you want to do. So you gotta hear a story just to say "turn on the a/c". It works, but could be streamlined a bit.
TL;DR - Great machine, a bit loud but does it's job with a few perks.

Thanks for the feedback, Brilor04! We are working with Google Home to make improvements with how our appliance works with their app and devices. Concerning the ECON mode - unfortunately, the EPA made that a mandatory regulation in 2014 for all electronic units to be factory set to Energy Saver (Econ) Mode. If you turn the unit off in cool mode, and then turn it back on – it will turn back on in ECON mode. There is no way to stop this or override the function as it is mandatory per government regulations. ~ Brandi

Another good product from Frigidaire. I love the WiFi option that enables you to turn on and turn off your air conditioner wirelessly. A bit loud when set to auto or high but nonetheless it cools off my room in merely 20 min. Looking forward in getting the 1200 btu for my living room.

Fairly easy Installation. LOVE the digital read outs and remote control. Does a rally good job for a smaller (350 sq. ft.) area. Its at our cottage is a really nice addition to a previously not air conditioned place. Dehumidifys nicely.

It's a great choice for cooling a home or office. Easy to install and easy to connect to the app and Alexa. You can check the temperature of your house from your office or other places, you can remotely control, turn high or low , on and off. Have an awesome design. You can put the AC facing anywhere because the air blows up e not in the front of the unit as other brands.

The WIFI and appearance of this AC made it a no brainer for me. I purchased an 8k and 12k and they've been great. The 8K is more than sufficient for my large bedroom as it's an icebox after 10 minutes on the high settings and with the doors closed. The 12k that's in my living room doesn't cool it as much but that has more to do with the open layout than the AC. Having the ability to start the AC 15-20 minutes before getting home is such a great benefit! The only issue i've had with it thus far are Alexa related but no biggie. Still 5 stars and highly recommended.

Looks nice. Was easy to install. Doesn’t constantly shine bright lights all night so that you can read the temperature in your sleep. My only complaint is that the fan shuts off completely when the compressor isn’t running and I miss the white noise in the background.

The AC really cools our space, which is actually larger the the AC is rated for. It tends to be a bit noisy, e.g. if you want to watch television in the same room. The smart AC feature is an amazing feature, though it doesn't always work on the first try.

Ac works great, not that loud. Works great with alexa. Just one minor thing., when setting up do not use a android phone. It doesnt seem to work well with android. Set it up with my ipad and it went thru in seconds. No biggie as you will only need to set it up once. Also it looks very attractive on my window. Beautiful piece of equipment..

Originally I was hugely disappointed with this AC, I was having problems connecting to WiFi, so frustrating. So I took the AC back and the boys at best buy help me out and got it replaced with same unit but different model, i couldn’t be HAPPER now!!! I love my smart AC, i pre-set unit so my room is cool when I get home from work. If it gets too cool in the middle on the night I just tell Alexa to turn ac off!!

I bought this for an upstairs bedroom that is always hot. It solved the problem, and works great. WiFi capabilities are very handy, you can operate the unit from your phone. And it has a scheduler which I didn't even realize when I bought it, we use this to keep the room cool all night, then auto-shutoff in the morning. Very good value, and the front grille looks much nicer than conventional units.

I purchased this window unit for an upstairs bedroom that is difficult to keep cool in a very old house... This unit is quiet and has a great modern look but most important it’s extremely energy efficient! My wife and I use the WiFi feature to cool the room ahead of time before going upstairs which is very convenient. I will purchase the larger model next year for another upstairs room!

The fan is louder than the compressor, especially on the low setting. There is a wonky rattling noise that is not coming from window vibration, it’s definitely the fan. But it gets quieter as it revs up, and is bearable once it’s up to High setting. The thermostat reads lower than the temperature sensor we have across the room, I think this is because the unit doesn’t circulate air across the whole master bedroom. We just set the thermostat a little lower to compensate.
But it does keep the room cold, and it’s very efficient. It costs us about $10/month to operate. And it was the only smart AC we could find in stock.

We decided to up our budget to go for the snazzy design of this model. Overall love the unit. The noise factor is about the same as our previous unit. Don’t expect it to be ultra quiet, but does the job nicely and looks great!
