First, it’s really loud. Second, the eco setting doesn’t work. It never shuts off and that is because it doesn’t cool well in that mode. It’s actually a more tolerable noice level in cool mode and cools a lot better. Fortunately, it does what I need it to do. Unfortunately, the eco mode was on my ‘must have’ list and that feature is useless.

Great size abs works really well. Wish the side pieces that prevent the air from coming into the window would sit properly but it could just be my window. Overall good.

Bought this AC for my in laws and they love it, the adjustable temp feature plus the automatic timer is great, and for those that are not real technical The manual on/off feature is also available fairly easy to use overall and the air blows very cold!!

The unit works well and cools as expected. It is a little louder than I was hoping for having downgraded from a 10,000 BTU model, but the amount of air it moves seems to make up for the noise. Even on low fan it still creates a lot of noise.

This is the third of three a/c units I've purchased this summer, one a 10,000 BTU, another a 6,000 BTU, and this the 8,000 BTU. I had first purchased a similar 8000 BTU from Home Depot because I couldn't find it on the Best Buy site (they list it within the square footage of the room, but not the BTUs). The other unit from Home Depot, also a Frigidaire, was a disaster. Never worked, never cooled, controls did not operate as promised. So I looked further, looked deeper, and found this. I could not be happier. And of course the BestBuy delivery was prompt. Lesson learned? Not all Frigidaire A/C units, even if they're the same BTU, are the same. These units from BestBuy are wonderful. Could not be happier.

unit cools down my living room with enough additional cooling to treat my hallway and to a lesser degree kitchen, more powerful than i expected , slightly noisy at higher speeds but cools things down quickly

i purchased this for my bedroom a year ago and then came and purchased a second one for the living room. great quality, decent price, i do wish it was a TAD quieter, but for the job its doing i have no complaints!

I bought this a/c to replace another which had grown mold inside. This one has a vent which is very easily removed to clean and accessible. However, it is very loud, even on low. I cannot put it any higher, or I can’t sleep. Usually I have no problems with a Frigidaire, and so I was somewhat disappointed. My husband liked it so we kept it, but I’ve never had a noisier machine. It does cool nicely, though, and there are many settings to choose from.

I purchased this unit for a room located over the garage in our home which is used as my “man cave”. The room is located on the west end of our home which means it gets the hot afternoon sun during the summer months. Also, the garage does not have doors and there are storage areas on each side of the room. Because of these conditions the central air unit is not able to keep the room adequately cooled during the hottest periods of the summer months. This unit does an awesome job of keeping the room cool and comfortable no matter how hot and humid it is outside.

I was looking for a new Ac unit for our bedroom and the 5000BTU we had i thought was a bit underrated so we opted for this model. It has done a great job and does it quickly. price was great too.

This keeps our 1200 sq ft two bedroom nice & cool in hot, humid Boston summers. This thing's isn't quiet but it's just background noice as any AC is. We kept it in the bedroom & take it out for winter.

Keeps our bedroom on the second floor nice and cool. Like most window units you can hear the fan. Never had any problems with using it the first summer.

Nice unit. Easy install and very cold. Only problem I've had is that it resets to economy mode every time it's turned on. Temp setting memory is fine, just a pain to have to switch it every time.

A real easy air conditioner to assemble and use. Works as it should. Not complicated to adjust. Assembles in minutes into window. Cools room as it should. Not the quietest machine but it will do.

There are a lot of features. 3 Speeds, eco mode, sleep timer. Cools room quickly. A little louder than I thought but not keeping me up.

This unit is great at maintaining a comfortable temperature in our room. It cools the rooms down quickly and keeps it at the temp we set it. Love that this is also energy start.

After our whole house AC broke we decided to get a window shaker. This Frigidaire works Great! Cools off most of the house. Great price, love the sensor to let you know to clean the filter.

Nice air conditioner. Cools a room rather quickly, but is rather loud. Sounds like a crop duster at times, so I wouldn't have it your bedroom at night if you are a light sleeper.

This a/c works as expected. Like the remote feature which allows the a/c to sense room temperature and cool accordingly. It did get some mold inside in the first summer of use when we were gone for a week and we left the a/c off. When i cleaned out the mold at end of summer i must have got water into the fan motor shaft somehow and that rusted so next spring I had to work a bit to get the fan to go and then it made a funny noise for awhile. These were issues that were largely my fault so not necessarily going to fault the manufacturer on these issues.
