First off’ the ad description says 6000’ btu the specifications say it’s an 8000’ btu’ and it’s an 8000’btu unit.’+++’ I live in a very hot very humid and very small room with tall ceilings, on the south side of a building constructed in 1911’ We have slider windows’ which means an open space above the unit’ I just got this ac in the nick of time’ for the big heat dome hit’ and I used the packing box and used it to seal the gap above the ac’ in the window, I gerry rigged everything from wedging the window, bottom rail on the inside and gave it even more of a drain angle removing the drain plug completely’ I also safetied the power cord by securing it to the inside steam radiator’ So, after all of that it kept my room well below the 80* mark’ when the heat dome peaked at 115* and kept it below ranging from 74-77* I also had a small floor fan that helped a bit’ and also the old school knobs reminds me of the ac’s in popular hotels and motels’ just turned into a square instead of being sideways’ quality stands out for this ac’ I like my room a little cooler than most’ so if you’re like me, you will like this ac’

Does the job. It’s placed in my living room window and cools down the front end of the unit. A bit noisy and leaks water if it runs too long.

I am very happy with this a/c. It cools my living room quickly. It was not difficult to install and I like the manual controls. It does make a bit of noise, but that is not a deal breaker and I would buy it again.

Enjoying my air conditioner! It’s airflow is terrific! Even though , I have a small apartment, it does well taking care my needs during the hot weather.

Not well ventilated. Rain water gets in and black mold infests the air conditioner. Not even one season out of it Not worth the money.

I was disappointed when it began making noise after about 4 or 5 weeks. For the first time in my life I had to open the drain plug to let water out and, of course, Geek Squad was nowhere to be contacted which I found frustrating and disappointing. I don't think I'll be buying anything from Best Buy again.

We really like this small air conditioner, we got it for the kids room, it was really easy to install, the noise is really low, it’s cooling the room really quick. It doesn’t have the remote, which is ok, because kids always loosing it anyway:)......

I paid, again, top dollar at best buy for this ac and it was mediocre for the 3 months I used it last year and now it's broken completely. Over $300 to use for 3 months and it barely worked. I bought 2 AC's from best buy both more expensive then other stores and both garbage.

The small size of the unit made installation a breeze,, so to speak, the manuel Temp control requires a little relearning to the old days but the 35.00 price difference was enough for me to forget about digital, remote, Bluetooth since I was buying two. So far we are more than satisfied.

No remote. But we can get up to turn it on. So far it cools down our living room. We are happy with our purchase

We havent had much chance to use this airconditioner but did get it in window and turn it on for a while Seems like it will do the job

Well, my room is pretty small but it is in the attic and I have to set it to the highest setting on low cool for it to be able to really get the room fairly cool. Ummm....I don’t think it was worth the price but I mean it’s something.

Great air conditioner. Just the right size for a mobile home window.

Trash. Constant freezing. Drainage is in an awkward spot.
