Cooks like a dream, but since it required a special buffing compound to keep the glass top from scratching, I think thst a sample of the compound should have been supplied.

The induction cooktop is easier than standard electric and holds a very steady temperature! If you can’t get gas this is a way better alternative to electric!

The stovetop is cool to the touch when it is on. You do have to have specific pots and pans for cooking on this range.

Small gripe - little food bits like salt get stuck along the edges of the stovetop, making it a bit frustrating to clean.

Three of the four burners work. Best Buy refused to replace it, pushing us to the manufacturer instead. After multiple trips from Fridgeaire's contracted repair vendor, it still has not been fixed. For a new product, that’s unacceptable.

The responsiveness of the cooktop is astounding. A pot was starting to boil over, I tapped the heat controls down a couple of notches and the contents of the pan immediately responded.

However, be aware of the problems with induction heating: poor choice for Chinese cooking, dangerous for people with pacemakers, and easily damaged glass cooktop. The last item can be corrected with a silicon matte covering the cooktop.

We've had several issues with it: 1) The touchscreen on this range is horrible! It is so sensitive that it gets hit all the time when cooking on the stove or in the microwave above the stove. I saw the reviews but thought it couldn't be that bad, but it is! We keep the touchscreen locked all the time to avoid accidently turning it on or changing settings. 2) The screen lock feature takes like a minute to fully lock or unlock the oven door, making #1 more of an issue. 3) The clock is so fast that it gets a few minutes fast in a week, so we have to reset it every week. 4) Twice so far (in ~6 weeks), the screen has been stuck locked and we could not unlock it without turning the power off for ~5 minutes (1 minute didn't work). 5) The first range delivered to us had a fault code when using the oven due to a fan sensor. It first showed up when running the oven for about 20 minutes the first time, so it appeared to work before the installers left. Best Buy did replace it, but it took several days. 6) Cleaning the top of the range is difficult because the design of the front of the top has not ledge on the front and has a groove that collects crumbs and you have to put your hand up against the sensitive touchscreen to wipe crumbs off the top.

We had an issue with it turning itself off, both cooktop and oven. It’s really easy to bump the front controls and changing things, turning off things, locking the oven door, etc. The cooktop controls are just awful. It takes several unnecessary button presses to cook anything. Exchanged for a Samsung

Again, this is primarily for safety purposes. Once the internal temperature of the cooker goes higher than normal, it will automatically shut off to cool down.
