Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the spaciousness, counter depth, smudge proof exterior, affordable price, design, adjustable shelves, and size of the Gallery 22.6 Cu. Ft. Frost-Free Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator. They appreciate the flexibility of the adjustable shelves and the ample storage space. However, customers are negative about the ice maker and the noise level of the refrigerator. Some customers find the ice cubes to be too small, while others find the refrigerator to be noisier than other models.

Dont buy it for the ice!

Beautiful unit. Wonderful lighting and the filter does a good job removing the bad taste leaving tasteless water and ice. However sales person said water is chilled, but it is not. Ice cubes are small and they do disappear quickly in the glass of water. This in turn makes you need more ice and you end up, like me, running out of ice. So if your in it for the cold water and ice, please check for a different refrigerator. I do also love the bottom freezer with large capacity.

    Good Fridge

I was worried about buying this refrigerator after the reading the reviews but I really wanted a french door fridge and it was on sale. Happy to say I haven't had any issues such as not producing enough ice or is being loud as people indicated. It maybe loud when producing the ice but otherwise it is the same noise level as other fridges. I am happy with it and it has more room than the side by side we had before.

    Pretty Great

It's a nice fridge. Some of the shelves are pretty small (height wise), and the cubes of ice are small. Also, one of our doors is about a half inch higher than the other - not sure why. Haven't called frigidaire yet regarding this. Overall, it's pretty great, we like it.

    Very nice refrigerator!

I really like the smudge proof stainless steel. Plenty of space and ice and water works great. I have not experienced the loud noises, in my opinion it's very quiet. The french door is really useful too. The counter depth made it look really nice with my cabinets. I would have given it a 5 star but the only thing missing is the open door alert. For the price, it should have included that.

    Cheap for a Reason

This is an entry level (still not cheap at $1900.00) counter depth fridge. The unit was noisy to the point where you could hear it throughout the house. The compressor runs constantly at a low hum. I must admit, I like the ice from this fridge, they are like small pyramids, not the typical crescent moon shape. I found the functionality of the fridge storage with the ice maker cumbersome, but due to cost, something I could probably look over. My wife and I tried it for a week but ultimately took the unit back and upgraded to an LG LSFXC2476S. We care currently waiting for the Lg to come in.

So far, a very nice fridge

So far, we love this Frigidaire counter depth. It aligns nicely with the counters where our previous frig stuck way out. We do not miss the extra space in the back where food went to hide. A surprising feature we really like is the ice maker. The standard cubes are roughly 1 inch x 1 inch, rather than the larger 3 inch scallop shaped that we have always had previously. Sounds odd, but everyone loves the ice maker.

    Runs Continuously, poor customer service

I bought this refrigerator a couple of months ago. The good part: this unit looks great, doesn't show fingerprints as much as my other stainless appliances, and the slide out and slide back shelves come in very handy. Just be careful, the stainless doors are easily dinged. The pretty good: this unit is large enough for a couple or a family of three at most. The bad: ice maker is very loud when ice tumbles into the storage bin. Don't try to nap anywhere near the kitchen without turning off the ice maker! The ugly: the motor has not shut off in the nearly three months I have owned this unit. I called Frigidaire and was told that it is designed to run 90 to 100% of the time. Perhaps all newer units are designed to do that. I simply wasn't expecting this. (And I am really glad now that I purchased the extended warranty, since I am dubious as to the durability of fans and compressors that run non-stop.) Fortunately, the fan/compressor isn't terribly loud so that, after a while, the running becomes so much white noise. Also, and as a minor point, if you purchase this unit and have it installed, be sure to request the Allen wrench that secures the door handles. The set screws work loose over time. I failed to get the wrench and after reading in the owners manual that an Allen wrench is supplied, I called Frigidaire to see if they might mail me one. Their representative told me that instructions to tighten door handles "with supplied Allen wrench" didn't mean that one was supposed to have come with the unit! Moreover, she did not have a specification for the set screws. I don't have much need for those but purchased a set at my local hardware and sorted through until I found one that fit. Problem solved. Still, the experience didn't instill much confidence in Frigidaire's customer support and knowledge of their own product.

    Great so far

We've had this refrigerator for about 3 weeks. It's been great so far - the way our kitchen is setup, the best place to put the refrigerator is along the wall that then has openings into the living room and the foyer of our home. It's not a very deep wall and the refrigerator there before looked like the gorilla in the room since it stuck out so far. This refrigerator was the perfect size for the space, it actually reached the desired fridge and freezer temperatures in less than an hour (I remember other ones I've had take hours to cool down for the first time). We hooked it up to our existing waterline and wall outlet and there have been no issues so far. Lots of space for its size, a great fridge overall.

    Nothing but problems

We have had this fridge for about a year. Within 24 hours we started having problems with the fan being loud. You could hear it from the second floor the next morning. Then within 2 months we had to call the company and have them come out and fix the ice maker. Then it broke about 4 months later so they had to come out again. Now it is leaking again from the ice maker and it is ruining our hardwood floors and it has been a year. Read the reviews carefully before purchasing. We are looking at buying a different fridge. Frigidaire does not make good french door fridges and over time the technician said the drawers will come off the hinge. He said to be nice and gentle with the bottom drawer because it is 500 dollars a pop to fix once the waranty runs out. It is a little concerning how many things break with Frigidaire over and over again.

Looks nice but could have more space...

The Gallery looks nice. Ice production seems slow and the ice bucket doesn't hold a lot of ice. There is limited space in the refrigerator so anyone liking organization might find it frustrating. You will probably want a separate freezer as the space is limited.

You Get What You Pay For....

We liked this fridge because it looked nice, was counter-depth, and was relatively cheap. Unfortunately, this fridge has been a total disappointment. The materials inside are very cheap, plastic, and flimsy - especially in the freezer section, which does NOT hold much frozen goods. We have also had the ice maker stop working SEVERAL times, and Frigidaire has NOT been easy to work with and has yet to fix the problem. While it is "smudge proof" it still scratches very easily. I would never buy this brand again.

Sorry, all, this refrigerator went out day two of delivery. fan motor makes loud noise for a few days then leaked water all over the kitchen floor and now the ice maker went out. I only had it few weeks. I though for the price it would be a great deal but not! even the way the space inside is complicated and not enough. I would try spending a little more for a whirlpool.
