We replaced our gas range (which we loved) for this electric induction model due to environmental concerns (both indoor air quality and global environmental). It heats very fast and we are getting used to the controls.
One thing we were not fully prepared for is the fact that more than half of our cookware is not induction compatible. We're looking at several $100's in new pots and pans!
It will also take some time getting used to the controls and the pausing of the induction elements whenever the pan is lifted. This is something that occurs frequently. We love the smooth cook top and it is easy to clean. There are some a number of oven modes including air frying that we haven't tried yet. I'll update more when possible.

This is my first time using an induction range, and I couldn't be happier. It's a lot different than a conventional range, so there is a learning curve, but induction is much better. Pots heat up faster, and the Power Boost function boils water quickly. There are numerous bake settings, including convection, slow, steam, and air frying. I don't think the air fryer is as good as an appliance dedicated solely to that, but I'm still experimenting. The Bread Proof setting is also a nice touch. All in all, this is a nicely valued, feature-rich range.

Wonderful oven. I'm still trying to learn the oven modes like bake, convection, air fry, steam roast, etc. but enjoy it already. The Induction cooktop is efficient and powerful and I scored some new cookware for Christmas as I had to donate a set of anodized aluminum. I bought a large rubber backed coffee/dish dry mat to cover the glass top so I can keep pots on the stove and not worry about scratching the top when not in use. I just fold it and put it to the side when cooking, then clean the top and put the mat back when finished. The only fault is the timer alarm is not loud enough, but if used the oven shuts completely off when time is reached.

Totally blown away by this beautiful Frigidaire Gallery induction range! Beyond my expectations! Never knew that Frigidaire could manufacture such an appliance. Bought a new set of Cuisinart multiclad triple ply induction cookware to go with it since you need induction-compatible pots & pans. Just take care of this beautiful range and you won’t be sorry! And Best Buy is the “best!”

Works well but for a freestanding oven it fits terribly. It does not sit flush with the wall--not even close so does not line up with cabinet on left side. And you can see the back of the oven. Disappointed with its appearance.

I am missing the air fryer tray. I did not notice that it was missing until 1 month after use. Apparently its too late for Best Buy "Customer Support" to help.
Additionally, I DID notice that the item was scratched on the handle and I contacted Frigidaire. They had a technician come by and they told me they would document it and get back to me. Its been about 6 weeks and I have not heard back. He also mentioned that this stove is low quality and he had a call the day before for another issue. Look for a different product and a different vendor.

Love the induction cooking stovetop and the convection oven. Don't love the pressure sensitive touchpad adjacent to the cooktop surface. Occasionally, the cooktop will just turn off (for instance, after I move a pot from a hot burner and then replace it on the same burner; then the whole stovetop and all burners just power down).

Great stove and oven; Control panels are annoying!

Received near the end of February 2025. Loved cooking with gas all these years and have been learning to transfer skills to this induction stove. That part is great. The stove top stays clean and the oven is big and beautiful and works well.
However, as a long time from scratch cook I find the electronic control panels annoying, even ridiculous. They come with this and many other modern ranges. It takes multiple steps to do any thing. Even to find an oven setting you have to scroll through options. My husband at 6'5" has to squat to see them. At 5'2", I turn the oven power on accidentally multiple times every time I cook on the stove top because to reach the back burners I have to lean into it. It is impossible to avoid it! It's as though some 20 something who never cooks designed the electronics. Fun if you are gaming: everything lights up, beeps, and takes extra steps. The controls never work the first go. What's wrong with knobs? They have a feel to them and sounds that are pleasing. There is so much beeping and alerting with this electronic panel that it is not relaxing or fun. It is not intuitive in any way. I love to cook. I really dislike my electronic control panel. Call me old and grumpy.

This everything we hoped. It has Great design and features which a easy to use. Love being able to use electricity without waiting for the coils to heat up or cool off, just like a gas stove. Well almost. I'd recommend the change. It's great

Love this range! The induction cooktop works beautifully. Heat up VERY fast and cools down VERY fast. Maybe faster than gas. The cooktop is also very easy to keep clean. Since the stovetop doesn’t get very hot, the food doesn’t bake on and wipes right off. No scraping and scrubbing like radiant cooktops. Just wipe with a damp cloth and dry! The oven is great too! And if you love to bake bread, this oven can proof and steam. You can also easily steam clean the oven.

Induction is where it's at, and this stove seems to be the perfect segue into a modern, efficient, and cost effective manner for home cooking.
We love to literally watch the water boil in seconds. The even cooking is a luxury we didn't realize was possible, and the precise heat control is dialed in.
With a little poking around and experimentation, making the switch to induction has been nothing short of extraordinary. I legitimately would not recommend anything else in a home kitchen.

The Frigidaire Gallery induction range has passed every test with flying colors. I have always cooked on gas ranges, and I was concerned that I would not have an exact enough level of control with electric. I love this range and have adapted to cooking with it easily, having perfect success rates with delicate sauces, rice, melting butter, egg dishes, sautéing, etc. Highly recommend!

Faulty Appliance, Short Return Window

From day one, we had issues with the cooktop randomly powering off. It took four service calls from Frigidaire and their contractors to finally replace the power panel for the cooktop.
Without warning, the entire cooktop would power off and wouldn't restart until we powered the breaker on and off in our basement.
During the first service call, the techs told me that these appliances are finicky, and that it was likely that some of my pots and pans were too big. So, we made a conscious effort to use our smallest ones, thinking it was a learning curve, but the issue continued. I didn't even want to cook anything on the stove because it was so infuriating.
The second call was from a different tech who couldn't figure out the issue and was told by Fridgidaire that we should try to capture the issue on video. With a randomly occurring problem, this meant we had to set up a tripod and record every time we cooked until it happened. We did catch it, thankfully.
The third call was a different contractor who took down some numbers and left. During the fourth call, they finally replaced the full power panel. It took two and a half months for us to have a working appliance.
Through all of our interactions, it became clear that many of the techs do not regularly deal with induction appliances yet they hear a lot of common complaints about them. The Best Buy delivery folks, while lovely, couldn't even figure out how to turn it on and check that it worked properly upon delivery.
The reason I share all of this is because I have seen some reviews of this appliance across multiple sites that complain about the top being too sensitive (one drop of water shuts off the whole top was a complaint I saw). If you receive no warning beeps, have inconsistent issues, or regularly think, "Did the person who engineered this ever cook a meal, even once," please stay on top of the manufacturer to get the appliance you deserve. You may have a faulty power panel like we did.
This appliance is a bit of a learning curve, but it is not nearly the learning curve we thought it was. We just had a faulty appliance.
Most of this is not, in fact, Best Buy's fault. However, please be advised that the Best Buy return window on this appliance is extremely short. Two weeks. By the time you feel like you understand the induction learning curve, your time will have run out. We didn't even have time to get the first service call in to see if it was user error or an actual issue before the return window ended.
Now that we finally have a working appliance, there are a few things I love:
- The power boost function works extremely well.
- There are child lock functions for both the oven and the cooktop (though our toddler is a whiz at numbers and will figure out the oven lock soon).
What I don't love:
- If you use the oven timer, the oven automatically turns off when time is reached. So, if you're baking cookies and set the timer for 12 minutes only to find they're not done enough, the oven will have turned off already.
- The top always looks dirty and scratches easily. Protection mats are an absolute MUST.
- The "bridge" function for a griddle is useless. If you put a cast iron griddle over the two burners, only the areas above the burners heat up, leaving the middle less hot. It doesn't seem like it actually serves as any kind of bridge.
- The touch controls are finicky. We have to hit things 2-3 times before the command registers on the cooktop.
If the return window hadn't ended so quickly, we would have returned this appliance. We're stuck with it, and it seems to work enough. My husband and I are honestly surprised at all of the positive reviews, as this seems like a 3.5 star appliance at best, and that's when it's working properly. Or, maybe ours is still faulty, who knows?
3 stars for the appliance itself and 1 star for the return policy = 2 stars from us.

Having used both gas and traditional electric ranges, I hoped an induction range would provide the responsiveness of gas with the safety of an electric range. My new Frigidaire Gallery range has exceeded expectations! Changing cooking temperatures on the induction range is faster than with a gas range, and the oven has multiple cooking modes which is very helpful. The ordering and installation process with Best Buy was very smooth, and as a plus this range is very sleek-looking!

Induction cooking is the way to go and the controls are easy to get use to once you get past the difference between
touch and membrane style. The safety features for the stove top are excellent.
Build quality is a little shaky as the guides for the bottom draw came loose. I had to replace the two outer screws for the draw guides with heavier ones to fix it. Would not have expected that with the extra expense of the Gallery line.

I've only had it a couple weeks and so far everything works great. The stove top threw me for a bit as you have to hold your selection for a few sections before it would register. Once you get use to it, it makes sense. The induction is great and consistent. The biggest issue I've had is that the oven preheats really fast. I guess I'm use to my old one that took a long time and gave me a chance to get food ready. Nope, this one heats up fast, which really isn't a problem. Still have lots of features to check out.

I've had this range for 2 weeks and so far so good.
Power boost heats a full 8 qts of water in my dutch oven in the 10 minutes run time of the setting. Rice simmers at the perfect low setting to a perfect consistency. Broil works great and oven bakes much better than my old electric oven. My rating actual rating would be 4.7 stars as the stovetop controls are easily activated if you lean against them, but don't worry because the settings require a 3 second touch and also activation of on/off controls and temperature settings as well which is pretty failsafe. Have not had a chance to use convection bake, airfry, temperature probe or instant preheat settings.

Cleaning is similar to cleaning a standard glass top, but you don't have to worry about burnt cleaning from spills. Cooks Very fast. That I learned real fast, making me have to adjust how I cook. Controls took a little getting used to.
