I wanted her to have something that was functional with a bit of nostalgia. She also likes to scrapbook, so this was perfect for her. Only down side is paying essentially $1 per picture for film, as the cost is $9.99 a package of one. And one package only comes with 10 pictures/films. One plus side is the fact that you can change the settings for indoor, outdoor as well as about 3 more.
