May need to test outside to give higher stars

I read reviews before purchasing and noticed some stated that the camera took dark pictures but I wanted to get one for my 10 yr old son to try out. We have only taken 3 pics with the camera so far and yep, the pictures are too dark. I tried moving the setting dial to correct and it didn't work. I will read the instructions more as I have time and see if I can get it to perform better. I will try to take an outdoor pic to see if we get better results. I had one of the old Polaroid cameras from the old days, with the larger film and so far these new cameras just don't compare. You didn't have to move settings to get the picture to be brighter on the old models. So, I believe the minis have a ways to go to get to the caliber of the old Polaroids. So for now, I give 2 stars because of the work that needs done to get a brighter picture indoors.

I bought two of these for my twin girls for Christmas. I thought they would have fun with them... and they did... until they ran out of "film" which was within the first two minutes. First of all the image quality is terrible. The colors lack saturation and the images lack clarity in general. I can honestly say this is one area where technology has not improved the end result at all. I recall the original Polaroid cameras of the past and these images don't even appear to match the quality of those. Now the next disappointment came when I went back to best buy to buy some more "film" I was shocked to find that the cheapest is right about $15 for 20 exposures. Now I'm no math wiz but at $.75 per exposure you could go broke really quickly with these things. I would definitely not recommend buying these cameras. I would save your money and buy a cheaper digital camera instead.

I bought this camera because I thought that it would take instant photos like we had back in the seventies and eighties and it does but unfortunately the pictures are so small you can't even see who the heck you're taking a picture of this would be good for a child to use but not for an adult it's not going to get you anything

I bought this camera for my daughter and the quality of the pictures suck. They always turn out dark no matter how much lighting you have. I thought it was just the camera she had at first since I bought a warranty with it I took it back and ended up with this one. She used this one and the pictures still come out the same.

I thought 'instant picture's' wow. Won't this be nice at get togethers. Nope, The pictures are much too small and very expensive. I bought the camera for my mother and she gave it to one of her grand children after one use. The pictures were not clear for older adults. At least I tried. I thought instant pictures would be a good idea. Won't do this again.

the pictures are small about the size of a business card. The second pack of film that I loaded got jammed after the first picture and i had to remove the pack. I am using the camera to take pictures of the contents of moving boxes and it works well for that but i will need a magnifying glass to view the photos

For the average cost of about $1 per photo, this "camera" is not worth the cost of usage. Approximately 1 out of every 4 photos develop properly, but the developed photos do not have true color...usually the colors are faded or cloudy.

Bought my daughter this camera and the next day the filter knob stopped working. There are supposed to be different filters for outside and inside and cloudy day, etc... but we are not even able to use the camera because it's set on inside mode. This camera was hyped too much and not that great.

This camera takes dark pictures even in board daylight. Don’t be fooled by the pictures it claims to take on the box or commercials. It’s great for kids but considering that the film is expensive, it’s not worth it.

Purchased at wife's request. We were disappointed in the quality of the pictures, and found it cumbersome to scan/save pictures for future use. Fine for one-time quick snapshots, but would not recommend this for more serious users.

My daughter wanted one......Expensive item to sit around unused and the film is expensive at about $1 per pic. Camera looks cool and the instant picture is "neat" for a kid but for practical purposes not so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a Christmas gift for my 7 year old and the quality of the pics was disappointing. She stopped using it after half of the 2nd box of film was gone. I was for sure she would use it for at least a few years!!!

I bought the camera because I want to try instax. When i first use it, it really feels like a toy. It functions well but the look is not so appealing to me. I return it and exchange it for instax mini neo classic.

If your looking for vintage photos this will capute that for you.. not the best quality of pics. Backgrounds do not show up, unless you have extremely high lighting like full sun.
