The Instax is a good hobby for my child, so we don't mind the cost. In fact, she really has gotten good at creating interesting photos and doesn't waste film. Probably not great if you like to take a ton of pics though.

Other then that they are great.

For Christmas we bought the plain film so made centerpieces so the family could add pictures to the center pieces through the night. My daughter then took sharpies and decorated the pictures. It was the best

Best Buy was the only retailer to have it in stock prior to Christmas, too. The best part of the process was ordering online for in-store pickup. Quick, easy, friendly service.
