Really great camera especially for any beginner who wants to spend a little extra. Coming from a Canon to a Fuji was one of the best decision I made. Super comfortable while holding as well and takes amazing pictures with minimal editing needed.

While I’m not new to photography, this is my first Fujifilm camera, and I’m impressed with all the features offered for the price. The build quality, grip, and looks of the camera are superb. Not to mention the sharpness of the pictures. You can take a look at some of the photos I’ve taken thus far. I don’t usually do video, but for those who are interested in 4K, you also get that too up to 30fps which I’ve been enjoying. The use of the camera was a little tedious to use at first and a little intimidating since I’m more familiar with Canon cameras, but with a few videos on YouTube, I was able to feel more comfortable navigating through the camera. Make sure you turn on the boost mode for both picture and video or else you’ll see a significant lag when using the LCD screen when starting up the camera. I thought I received a defective camera because of this. I wish Fuji would have some prompt to let you know if you’d like to enable or disable this feature when beginning.

The camera is great overall, the only issue that i had with this product is the battery. You can use the camera for few days with only taking pictures. However, when i tried to film continuously it only took less than an hour and half to reach empty battery. If you have couple of batteries it should be fine. But if you are planning to do some vlogging this camera is not it. Also, the camera size and handling is perfect. The handle part of the camera is adequate size, hand’s won’t get cramps. In addition, importing pictures to your devices is made easy because of the app and wireless sharing. It is also a perfect travel size camera, if you want both professional and casual pictures. There are a few sets of filters that would make your photos more personal and/or special.

I bought this camera on February 23rd of 2023 as my first ever camera for my birthday. The camera is comfortable to hold and use for photo shoots. The battery is a bit weak, so extra batteries are a must. The camera is easy and fun to use and the photos look amazing. The reason for my poor review is because after a day at the zoo taking photos and videos (this was on 8.10.23) , I went to connect my camera to the Fujifilm app on my phone to transfer some photos. However, when I tried to turn on my camera, it would not turn on. I tried every trouble shoot solution I could try. The battery’s are charged and I even used another battery to check and it’s still not working. Every time I try to turn on the camera, it gives a slight little jiggle with the shutter, but nothing else. Just a blank black screen and no response to any button presses. I have been extremely careful with this camera to make sure that the camera is not damaged in any way. It’s disappointing that after a few short months of using this camera that it would all of a sudden stop functioning completely. Before purchasing this camera I debated on Fujifilm, Sony, and Canon, but went with Fujifilm because i wanted to try something different, but now i’m thinking I should have probably just stuck with Sony. It’s unfortunate, the camera was really fun to use and easy to handle, but after having this experience with a non working camera for multiple days, it’s really put a damper on the “Fujifilm experience”.

My review is based off of how this camera fits my photography needs. I’m big on film/vintage style photography, and Fujifilm is unmatched when it comes to the color science and image quality. I own a Sony a7IV, and I can tell that the shutter speed and ISO controls are different whereas the Fujifilm exposes as if it is a film camera. It’s taking some learning, but not an issue. Personally, I was leaning towards the X-S20, but the X-S10 was more cost efficient to sacrifice a few features. Being able to shoot great quality images without needing to color grade is a plus when you’re capturing and sharing on the go. The app works really well with this camera also if you’re like me and do self portraits. Besides the beautiful colors, it’s lightweight, compact, has its own flash, and easy to use dials for quick adjustments. The only real con I had was that I recorded a video and the file got corrupted. The video was really good and it was disappointing that it wasn’t usable afterwards, but hopefully that’s not a recurring issue. Now that I’ve tested its capabilities, I’ll be making it my travel camera. That way I can leave my heavy artillery (Sony) at home and pack light. Even if you’re just a hobbyist, this will make a great camera for beginners to advanced.

So far I’m loving this camera. I don’t miss my sony full frame nor its huge lenses. I’ve added some examples of fuji’s jpegs using the 18-55 kit lens. These are straight out of camera no editing.

Got this beginner camera just for fun. Im not into photography or anything fancy. Just wanna take good photos for memory. I had a bad experience with shipping delay but the product ifself is really good. Read lots of reviews on it and my photographer friend actually recommended it to me so I pulled the trigger on it. Easy navigation. The camera design makes it easy to hold for my tiny hands. Love the lens it came with.

Grip is great in hand, tons of dials to use, sim modes are fun to use, handles well in most conditions. Slight learning curve coming from Nikon and Canon. Lens that comes with it is a very solid lens and you get it cheaper in this bundle vs buying it separately. Only con is that the battery drains quickly. Over half the battery will drain within two hours of shooting. So if you are going out for a day of shooting, be sure to have spare battery's or consider an X-T4.

I am long-time amateur photographer (fifty years) and this is my favorite of all time. Unlike many Fuji cameras it's EASY to use, EASY to hold yet amazingly advanced. The 18-55 accompanying lens is magnificent, like having a prime lens at every length and I challenge any amateur to be able to till the difference in everyday photos. Once you use the new grip you will not return to a camera without one, like the xt-20 and 30. It makes an enormous difference in handling the camera. By the way, it's out of stock everywhere except at Best Buy. So wonderful to just set your ISO, set to A and turn the aperture ring to adjust aperture in the view finder. Plus, Best Buy lets you pay off with no interest for 12 or 18 months. Do not hesitate.
