I upgraded from the XC 50-230 lens to this XF unit. And I must say, I've enjoyed the sharpness and the reach. The extra stop of aperture has been very useful in low-light situations, and it has allowed me to get nice bokeh when I frame the shots right. It is a good bit heavier though, so I don't carry it in my hiking bag unless I know for sure that I'll need a zoom for the types of pictures I want.

The lens speaks for itself. I recently used it on my trip to Africa on game drives and the pictures I was able to capture were breathtaking.

I waited for a while to buy this guy and for the price and distance I can shoot it works great, my only complaint is the auto focus is a little slow. If you are looking to shoot moving objects I would recommend getting a faster lense. I have also purchased the lense extender and boy can I shoot far with that added

Fantastic lens for the X system. I bought this lens shortly after it came out last year, used it more than any other lens in my kit, and then bought another one as a replacement when I accidentally smashed the other one to pieces beyond repair (always make sure your camera bags are zipped folks). It has excellent quality, gets you in close when the subject is far away, and focuses surprisingly close so works really well as a more flexible alternative to a dedicated macro lens. This lens spends more time on my camera than any other, even the red badges.

Great lens, not lightweight but not heavy either. feels well made and solid on the grip. been waiting for a while to purchase this and glad I did

I feel this is the best zoom lena from Fuji. it is best for portraits at the base length and great for wildlife at the max zoom.

This is an amazing lens for the Fuji X series of cameras, and provides extra reach in comparison to the 55-200 mm lens. It is small and light enough for traveling.

I’m using on an XT3. Excellent sharpness and reach. The image stabilization allows me to get some very long shots by hand. It’s light enough to travel with, and the weather sealing gives me confidence in my purchase.
