After researching 35mm options, I purchased this lens for my XT2 and am very pleased with it. It focuses quickly, is light weight, and is a perfect all around lens for when I am going out for the day, and don't want to carry a heavier lens option. I have a lot of Fuji lenses and this is in my top 3.

I love this lens for portraits. I was a little concerned that the f/2 wouldn't be fast or than the bokeh would be not as good as some other lenses I currently use, but I decided to give it a chance since the price of this lens is really affordable. After a few times using it I was really excited with the quality of the images.
It's extremely small which make it perfect for documentary or street photography.
Build quality is also exceptional for it's price.

One reason I bought some Fujifilm cameras (I also have Sony's) is because of the fuji colors, style, and form factor. This lens has a small form factor and makes you want to carry it all the time. Being used to full frame Sony's, I love the images coming from the 50mm lenses, and this 35mm is close to that range in the aps-c size sensor. This 35mm lens and the 27mm lens stays in my bag all the time. At first I was thinking of getting the 1.2 or 1.4 lenses, but upon reviewing my images, I always shoot at F2.8 and above anyways, so I chose this lens. I have no regrets, the images are fantastic, the colors are great, and as expected from a prime lens, the images are sharp. I believe everyone who has a Fujifilm aps-c camera should have this lens.

So small and light you wouldn't know that its there. Well obviously its there but so portable and light that it makes caring the lens around all day easy. Great price to for a lens made by Fujifilm. Definitely something to have in your camera bag.

Great 35mm F/2 lens. Images are very sharp. I got this to take more casual portraits. I am not a huge fan of bokeh so F/2 is perfectly fine for my needs. The lens is compact and weather sealed which also makes it great for traveling.

Such an amazing lens. Fast, quiet, and accurate AF. Very sharp lens wide open at f2. Very compact especially when paired with the XE4. Amazing amazing lens.

Pros:
Lightweight, yet durable
Super fast auto-focus
Very small and lightweight
Great bokeh
Cons:
Too small to work well with my ring light softbox
Not sure it has OIS. It doesn't have a switch on the side like my 18-135.
Does not work well with a macro extension tube

Solid, fast, light, and small. With its f2 appeture and super fast focusing speed, this is a grab and go lense for the X series camera thanks to its compact size and weather resistance design. Great choice for street photographer.

Fast focus speed with my XT3 and low light performance. It's my go to for my incognito shooting. Lens is very small which is nice. Everyone does not take a second look at you when using this lens.
