It’s been a good year for Kubrick. 2001, The Shining, & now Full Metal Jacket. Fantastic 4k transfer, definitely worth upgrading from the blu ray. Only a few more releases to go for a full 4k Kubrick collection!

I watched this movie before I shipped off to boot camp in 1988 and this movie was spot on. My boot camp experience was very similar to what was depicted in the movie. Even thou it was set in the 60's and I went to boot camp in the 80's.

Finally on 4K, A great film and an Excellent upgrade! The Picture and sound are intense as well as AMAZING! This is the way to watch this film! Great deal too, Thank you BestBuy! I highly recommend getting your copy while you still can!

This is a classic Kubrick anti-war movie that focuses on the dehumanizing of the soldier rather than the hypocrisy of leadership explored in Paths of Glory.

One of my favorite war movies finally comes to 4k . The picture quality is phenomenal.one of Stanley Kubrick masterpiece . It tells the story of marine recruits in basic training before they get deployed in vietnam

great movie , it's a little outdated for the younger folks. It has a good story line and has some very interesting sites to see. One of those movies you can watch several times and still see things you had missed seeing before.

What can I say it's 4k. Got it just to try my new LG 4K player. Sound lags some what on play back only of this movie in my player. The first half is the best. Gunny sergeant is one tuff cookie.

The first half of this movie is incredible. Absolutely top-notch stuff. But, as soon as they deploy, the movie falls into a cookie-cutter vibe of "been there, done that." However, the boot camp footage is worth the price.

Amazing quality 4K Blu-ray. One of the best 4K films I own, I love the aspect ratio as it is full screen, and the audio is just as great as the 4K image. I would highly recommend purchasing it for the collection!

The 4k release is very good! Video is excellent and audio very clear. There are not a lot of audio effects yet still better than any version to date. The new video transfer is definitely and improvement over prior releases.

Very nostalgic movie in high definition. Brings back a lot of memories from the Vietnam conflict. Not a war movie in the normal sense. Portrays the dichotomy of an American teenager turned into a soldier of that time.

Classic movie with a great 4K transfers. The HDR and colors really pop, especially near the end of the film. Sounds fantastic in Dolby Atmos! If you are a fan of Kubrick and own a 4K player/tv them this is a must buy.

Great movie. For a film that is rather drab looking due to subject matter and locations this movie looks fantastic in 4K. Kubrick's film has been restored to the same excellence as his 2001 and The Shining.

If you haven't seen this movie, then I'm not sure where you've been. Truly a great movie about the horrors of war and the struggles of the everyday soldier. Great acting performances all around.

A classic Kubrick film. Not my favorite cause it really shows how crazy the army is. But great nonetheless

Great Movie! It's a must have for any movie collection. The 4K UltraHD makes a HUGE difference. We have a 75" Samsung and you can really tell the difference between DVD, Blu-Ray, and the 4KUltraHD.

What can I say? Amazing movie in 4k. If you like the movie watching it in 4k really brings it to life. Especially through my home theater audio. Very immersive. A must have for any movie buff's collection

It's really two films in one. The bootcamp scenes are truly an example of exceptional writing and acting. The second half dealing with the war itself is harrowing and gut wrenching. Truly recommended.

This movie is not for the faint of heart. The first half of the film is boot, the second half in Vietnam. Few movies capture war as intensely and as head on as this one, it is an all-time classic film.
