This movie was sad, empowering and action packed. It reminded me of my basic training days and the times conflicts we faced as young soldiers. Awesome movie and very well directed.

The movie is a masterpiece, and Warner Bros did a great job with this 4K release. Definitely worth the upgrade. Looks and sounds fantastic.

What can I say? Amazing movie in 4k. If you like the movie watching it in 4k really brings it to life. Especially through my home theater audio. Very immersive. A must have for any movie buff's collection

The movies of Stanley Kubrick occupy a very high position in my hierarchy of great movies. So far all of Kubrick's movies which have been given the 4K treatment have been superlative. This one is no exception. The biggest difference for me is in the colors and of course the clarity and definition are superb. The audio is also noticeably improved from the last bluray release. I highly recommend this release even if you already have it in standard 1080p. it's a worthy investment if you love this movie.

This is a classic film from Stanley Kubrick. This was a crazy, funny, and amazing film to watch over and over. It’s amazing to see in 4K so worth it.

This is about as raw as it can get. Many people cite the first half of the movie that takes place during basic training as the best part of the movie. I'm not going to argue that but I will say that the second half of the movie that portrays the Marines in country is just as powerful yet very different. There is a feeling that you want to look away or cover your ears at some points, the violence and racial epithets are quite visceral; but softening them would detract from the movie. The 4K visuals are great. I wished they had spent a little money and deleted the high tension electrical towers seen in the background of Viet Nam. LOL

Fantastic Movie!! Aside from the movie itself, the 4k film transfer is incredibly sharp, stable and detailed. The real upgrade however, is the HDR color grading. The colors are much more lifelike and far deeper than the blu ray release. The lack of dolby vision is slightly disappointing, but this is still the best the movie has ever looked on physical media and is a must buy for any fans of the movie. It is also notable that the audio featured is both the remastered 5.1 and original mono track! Both are great experiences!

This movie looks great in 4k plus I love that it comes with a digital copy also I would highly recommend this mo ie to anyone that likes to watch war movies

If you are a fan of Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket, then you will want to pick this movie up in 4K if you own a 4K dvd player. Excellent 4K transfer with a very little film grain. Audio is improved, but do not expect full immersive surround sound during combat scenes.

FMJ is a great movie and this 4k UDH version is faithful to the original.

Let’s face it A lot of movies made 35 years ago were filmed with best technology available at that time but are nowhere close to today’s picture and audio quality. The transfer to 4K UHD leaves a lot to be desired in most cases. I was pleasantly surprised with the video quality of Stanley Kubrick’s Vietnam classic. The colors and black level contrast are very good and the noise level is surprisingly good. The soundtrack was disappointing as it is not in ATMOS and of course the aspect ratio is not wide screen. If your a fan of this film I believe the upgrade is worth it. I would not use it as film to show off your system, get something recently made filmed with superior technology.

Great movie by a great director. The 4k blu ray really enhances the movie, both visually and audio.

This is one of the greatest war movies. The upgraded quality of 4K makes it even better.

Full Metal Jacket has always been one of my favorite Vietnam era movies. Now, it can really be enjoyed with the full HD 4K! I am impressed how well it looks now and sounds. We can really here Drill Sergeant R. Lee Ermey now. lol The 4K is fabulous and we get the blu-ray copy of it as well. Anyone who is a fan of the movie, get this one! This one has a nice slipcover.
