    I purchased this because my new MacBook does not have much memory on it so I wanted to be able to have something that I could quickly plug in, transfer data, and eject with no problems or hassles. This is exactly what I was looking for! It is suppose to be compatible with both MacOS and Windows but I have not tested that feature out yet because I currently only have MacOS. I will update my review when I have tested out the feature.
