    Purchased this to store my TimeMachine backups for my brand new MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, I could only get the drive to power up when it was connected through an adapter. It would not connect to the laptop's port. So - buyer beware - this drive will not directly connect to a 2020 MacBook Pro. Also, had to manually erase the drive to get it to accept data. Required a chat with support to complete the task.
