This is a very nice SSD drive. The specifications indicate it is very rugged and water proof which I wanted to have as a drive I take into the wilderness. The only reason I do not give it five starts is because it is slower than a comparable set of drives which I purchased from Best Buy (Samsung). I have tried to find out the chipset in the G-Drive but have not been able to. I believe that is the difference between the two. But, I do rate it highly for its specifications for ruggedness and being water proof which is what I was looking for.

Large space for saving pictures. Using for genealogy

The G-Technology G-Drive Mobil SSD is a fantastic device. Once sales person gave me an in-depth explanation of the features and capabilities, I was sold. I have ditched the my old external memory drive and replaced with this one. I am pleased thus far with the performance. Very good buy!

Solid, high-quality storage device for my 16 inch MacBook Pro purchased this year. Originally went with Samsung T-5, but couldn't get it to work with my laptop. The G-DRIVE is made to sync with Mac, and it did just that.

This is an excellent product. I use it for backing up a MacBook Pro with SSD. I believe it is as fast as the computer drive I am backing up. I highly recommend. Comes with two short cables - one with USB-C and other with USB-A

I purchased this with my new MSI gaming laptop with the intention of storing games on it to keep them off the main hdd. So far no issues at all. Games never fail to load and they load lightning fast. Great External SSD for the price I paid.

There are so many differences between the standard and solid state back up devices. This SSD is so dependable. Peace of mind is so important when backing up your important information. A great device!

This was the first time I have used the G-DRIVE SSD and use it to replace my internal hard drive which has started to run very slow, this drive has saved me from buying a new computer.

Great bang for your buck. When internal hard drives are coming in at 256, an external is a must. This one is solid and gives peace of mind. No regrets on this purchase.

I've only had this drive for a short amount of time, but so far so good! We'll see how it stands up to 3D Digital Animation files this next semester.

Pretty good for my back up on my MacBook Pro.it doesn’t get hot compared to a non SSD drive.
