I think GOT is the best show in the world. Unfortunately the first season is a little boring. But, when you get more into it, it starts to really pick up and you can't stop watching it.

Bought this season just for episode 3 (The Long Night). I’m not a huge GoT fan but did watch the HBO showing of this episode and do remember the backlash of the near black handling and complaints of not being able to see what was going on. Happy to report there’s no issue with the 4K disc. Black levels and shadow detail is excellent! Oh ATMOS track is great to!

I bought this set for two main reasons: I love the series and for the steel case and magnet, now, as far as the first one goes, no complains there obviously, it's not like I'm getting different episodes or anything, the video / audio quality is excellent, I don't have a Dolby Atmos receiver, but pretty sure if I had it would be even better, so 5/5 there, as for the second reason, the case is great, what disappointed me was the magnet, I expected better quality, it won't even hold itself up in the fridge! So even though it was a cool idea, it was poorly executed to say the least, I would've been willing to pay $5 more for a much better quality collectible! Overall, that was it's only flaw, 4/5

It is a good show, with a big budget. It has movie quality effects and settings. It is like a well done soap opera meets The Lord of the Rings. I personally don't like the majority of the actors but the few good actors carry the show enough to make it enjoyable. I will continue watching if just to see the characters I have grown to hate die. I hated that the episodes are oddly printed on the discs, one episode on one of the discs and the next has three. Other than that is is a good product, and I will most likely be purchasing the later seasons.

Let's face it: You already know if you want this or not. It's freakin' Game of Thrones! The big question is how does the 4K set compare to the standard blu? Well, DEEP blacks, a wider color gamut & some noticeably greater detail in textures (particularly the costumes), not to mention a decent Dolby Atmos option make this a worthy purchase, particularly at this price point.

When I discovered Game of Thrones, I binge-watched the first 4 seasons. I'm invested in these characters, and the writing is masterful and compelling. There's nothing I don't like about the content of the Blu-ray discs. However, I looked at the original first season DVDs, and this set of Blu-ray discs doesn't contain any of the special features. Guess that's why it was such a bargain. If you care about the special features, get the original version. If all you want it the shows, get this!

This has to be the most engaging show I have watched in a long time! I found myself so sucked in that I couldn't stop watching one episode after another. Game of Thrones has a great cast and has some shocking moments. There is more nudity/s3x in this show than I care for, almost every episode has at least on scene, some of which last for too long. But that's just my opinion and I looked past that as much as I could for what is an amazing show!

When I first started Game of Thrones, it was beccause everyone kept telling me too since I love The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. But, this season was kind of tough for me to get into, it took me at least half way to really be like, okay I see what everyone is talking about now. But I still recommend it just because of you get passed this season, you're in for a wild ride

This is very well constructed, with excellent production values and an interesting plot. It is very realistic, however I find it a bit dark, as it does not resolve happily, which is something I like in my entertainment. I get enough dark stuff in my job every day!. I would recommend it highly however as a very engrossing experience that is interesting, well thought out, well casted, and well scripted.

I had not been following this series, but noticed it is now in the 6th season with 5 star ratings, so I thought I would take a look to see what I was missing. The sets were spectacular and the acting is superb. I was shocked to see how explicit and gritty this show is especially since it was made for TV. Now I'm hooked and will have to buy the other series to catch up.

Thanks to HDR and the Atmos mix this show looks and sounds better than ever. Hard to recommend, though, since it doesn't look like they're releasing the next season. Folks who bought this are going to be burned if more individual seasons aren't released and HBO just does a big box set once the show is over.

This blu ray set is pretty much the same as previous editions, the main difference is that it includes dolby atmos, everything else is pretty much the same in the disc. The steelbox and the magnets are very good quality, the only minor shortcoming of this edition is that all the disc come stacked up, not in single holders like previous editions.

I have been told by my friends that this is an excellent series and they have been true in their words. Most episodes end with a cliffhanger and the writing has been superb as well as the acting. I don't have cable, so I had to get the discs. I have not been disappointed

Although the first season was only shot in 1080p, the 4K up-converted quality is surprisingly superior to the 1080p bluray. The Atmos sound (and if you don't have Atmos, 7.1 channel sound) is greatly improved too. This is the way to see Game of Thrones! I can't wait for the later seasons on 4K bluray! Great job HBO!

This only the first season that we are watching,Seems everyone else has seen it. But, What an incredible cast. After it gets going,lots to follow! A little wild sex in spots and violent scenes, but it's very well written and exciting to become addicted to. (and we're only on episode 6...

The mass media tends to ignore fantasy stories, especially high fantasy stories. So it came as a pleasant surprise to me that George R.R. Martin's fantasy epic A Song Of Ice And Fire was being adapted for television -- and HBO crafts it with all the dignity it deserves, with plenty of grime, blood and a tangle of convoluted story lines..

I am a fan of GOT and want to buy all seasons, got this first as it was in sale for $11.99 which is amazing considering you’ll have the blu-ray and the digital copy. I’m very happy, I only put four stars because the plastic package arrived damage, other than that all is good.

I chose this item on a friends recommendation. I wanted to see what all the "hype" was about as I have never seen the series on cable. I was pleasantly surprised. The characters are abundant and so different just about anyone could relate to a few. The plot is engaging and well thought out. The cinematography is first class for a series. Worth every penny with all the versions.

The season that started it all, let's just get to it. Watch it. No seriously, if you watch more episodes after the first you'll be hooked. I was the guy who wanted to see what all the fuss about( about 2 years ago) and then I was a part of it. Yea this show isn't for everybody, which is perfectly fine. But moreover than not you'll like it.

I had heard a lot about this show and got these DVDs as a birthday gift. It's a cool story with a lot of interesting characters. I cannot wait to catch up on the rest of the series (already bought season 2). Be forewarned, this show is extremely adult. Lots of graphic violence. It's not appropriate for children.
