    I bought two of these and put one in my wife's car and one in mine. The first day my wife went to work and her car sat in the parking lot the camera is ruined. Mine still works but I'm in and out of my car all day because I work out of it and the camera is cooled when driving to my next stop, however in just the little time it does sit the screen looks like a water fall of color once it cools it returns to normal. I called Garmen I was told that there was a software update that should help and that they would replace the one that is no longer functional and that they would email me the link for the software and call Best Buy about replacing the damaged one.....three weeks later no email no replacement so no support!

    Almost perfect but....

    This is my second Garmin dash cam, I had the older model that didn't record sound. This version does and I like it a lot! The picture is crystal clear, the menus are pretty straight forward. The only issue I have with it is that it's very hard to use the WiFi to download videos onto my phone. I can't even download pictures that I thought I took, I mean I see it in the unit but it doesn't show up in the share area. Anyways I have to hook it up to a computer to download items, hopefully there's an update in the firmware.

    Great Cam for Canada, Allergic to heat

    Bought cam back in Feb, worked great until first 90+ degree day few days ago, died while I was showing my clients, would not reset/turn back on. I intended on purchasing a second one to give away to client the next day, but until this issue is resolved, will not purchase. Aside from the major issue of not working, great cam (visual and sound notifications nice as well). Appears this is an issue as other reviews state similar issues.

    camera is great (daytime and night), and the features it offers are pretty good. i do have several complaints though: a) no manual on how to use the camera (just the basics - everything else is on garmin's site), b) power source connection (huge pain to use the really long cable, and is not compatible with a regular usb), c) no explanation of what the "beeps" mean when driving , d) no replacement mounting metal disc is supplied with item - only replacement adhesive.

    This camera is a good protection and investment against instrance fraud. One thing I didn’t like about the camera was the app... I tried to use my phone (iPhone 8 plus) to view and get the videos from the dashcam but it is very unstable. Both the app and the dashcam are updated but when I go to the app it is just blank. Hope this will get resolve by an update or something.

    Camera takes great video and stills....but after about 3 weeks I noticed the record light wasn't on, so i tried to play it back and see when it stopped recording but it wouldn't open and would freeze. Brought it to the geek squad and they couldn't find out what was wrong so they replaced it with no hassle. So far I've had this one a week and no problems. Hopefully it was just a bad unit and not a common problem but only time will tell

    I like the concept of having the dashcam for my road trips, but this one didnt match my expectations. The 2 issues I had with it were that the wi-fi connection between it and my phone or tablet were dismal at best, and that it only comes with 1 windshield magnet. I have 2 cars and called garmin thinking they'd send me another, but instead want $10 for the magnet and another $8 for shipping. That was my deal breaker.

    Captures Good quality videos, does its job and stays out of my view. I didn't buy this with very high expectations and I am satisfied with its performance. The alerts for lane detection and moving traffic are gimmicky, my car does a better job so I don't care much about those features, but it could do better.

    camera works but I did not see any options for a reverse camera to be attached. mobile app is just a waste of time. I only bought the camera for the phone backup but I haven't been able to get it to work. I own 3 different car cams and this one cost the most and does the least.

    It doesn’t work in uniform. Some times it makes a buzzing sound to make alert of lane escaping, possible front collision, moving vehicle but some times it doesn’t. This makes so confusing and disgusting.

    Quit Working After 4 Months

    My unit just refused to turn on after 4 months. Was working well before that. Not sure what happened but after some minor troubleshooting Garmin customer service gave me an RMA and I sent it back to them. I received my replacement within 2 weeks of mailing the broken one. So far no issues on the new unit, but time will tell.

    I purchased this last month thinking they have extra features like red light alerts and speed camera alerts. Later I found that all those feathers are compatibility only. To use them, you need to have paid subscription. Otherwise as product this is good. Easy to operate and good. Clarity.

    almost perfect, night time recording is a little fuzzy and it keeps shutting off because of the heat. the biggest flaw is the mount. I use this in my commercial truck and I get cracked windshields a lot. so having to buy endless supplies of double sided sticky pads gets pricey.

    Takes decent video. Documentation of how it all operates is basically non-existent. If your power plug keeps juice flowing after you turn off your ignition the camera keeps recording unless you unplug it. You don’t need the special “parking lot” cable they want to sell you.

    I am very impressed with the HD video quality of this dash camera, however the battery life is not great. Only lasts a few hours before it needs to be charged again. Product was returned because it was more of a charging hassle than it was worth.

    Menus are a challenge. Getting footage off camera is a chore. There are better choices out there but this one is good quality, from a real brand and gets the job done. Just prepare to be frustrated using it.

    Instructions overall very poor. Have gone online and still am unsure of what he dash cam actually captures. Need to unplug when car turned off. Was told it did not drain

    Product is awesome size, mount is great (3m double sided tape) magnetic, didn't realize this at first and left in windshield stopped working. Awaiting replacement.
