Have used it daily now for two years and it works really well no issues with directions the new 780 comes with wireless availability to upgrade it

This item was not quite what I was looking for, so I traded it for a different product.

The quality of this product is poor and it will not last long

Had to up date it just two weeks after buying. Will know more later.

The box I received from the Augusta ga store was missing the proper cord and the bracket. Their course didn't have another to replace it with so I bought a different one from a truck stop. Who go figure had Tons in stock!

The voice commands are not very good I find that my phone gps works better,should be ablebto talk to the gps and do what you want , it's very out of date and the prize is way to high in prize for what

Have had to reboot two times so far loses signal then locks up have talk to Garman their recommendation was reset the whole unit so far not happy I hope it gets straightened out

When it worked it was great but 5 years down the line it's dead won't turn on won't charge not happy

bought it in may then just after the protection expires, the gps start acting weird if you turned off it doesnt turn on again even it needs update still the software last only a year.dont buy the protection coz the software at least will last for a year and offers only a year. smart selling point.most computers or electronics will last min a year and max 5 years.

My boyfriend is a truck driver. He complained that the maps would route him in areas trucks weren't allowed to be in. He set his truck profile and made the update but it still didn't fix the problem. Needless to say we returned and got a rand McNally tablet

I have returned it after a week. Why? It looks good and it does its job like any other GPS. Yes, but that was not enough for me as a truck driver. The things I dont like about it: first when you are approaching scale it just beeps and it shows scale picture in top right corner. Not enough to alert you. Second, it shows speed limit which is incorrect many times and it shows you how fast you go. Thats good but if you do speeding it doesnt warn you or do anything just the speed you go becomes red. Not enough for me to alert me. Third, when you are looking for gas stations it shows you all the gas stations that have diesel, including BP, 7 Eleven, Citgo etc. You have to waste your time going there and realize they are maybe not built for trucks. Fourth, if you want to see ETA or how many miles you have left or any other info about your current trip you can see only one at the time and if you want to see other you need to change it every time. The GOOD thing is when you start your trip you can change the route that gps gave you at the moment and pick to use some other street/highway by your choice. Its helpful because sometimes gives you some weird route so you need to take a look very carefully where the gps is leading you not just click and go. Overall, because of all those things I decided to return it and exchange it for Rand McNally 730 that has much more info about your trip at the same time and pretty much has everything I need for my job. GPS suppose to make our hard trucking life easier not to make it even more complicated! Sorry Garmin, I love you for car use but not this one for trucks. I expected much more from this one since its the newest model!

I drive 11-13 feet buses. A GPS that falls to the floor means something embarrassing has to be done after. The 7 inches 15.4 ounces is too much weight for it's suction mount. I'm done with the humiliation. Why are GPS not catching up with technology? The screen is nice but definitely not HD. The interface is also lame. Its a dinosaur compared to smart phones, HDR technology and apps like Waze. This devise is young but dying of old age. During rest periods, I'm forced to compare routes with my cell phone. The zig-zag and the on-off the highway routes that Garmin gives are grossly illogical. At first, I thought the gps was avoiding bridges, weight limits and the likes but even the routes I knew were botched. The reason this GPS did not get a 0-1 Rating is because the warnings are precise. But still the suggestions around those obstacles are worthless.

Bought this unit to avoid low overheads in my work truck. Using the straight truck profile the unit would rout me hopelessly out of the way to comply with restrictions for larger vehicles. Running service calls, adding 45 minutes to multiple legs is a day killer!
