First as a tour bus driver I only have so many 12v outlets available so I use a USB wire, my previous GPS used the same set up with no issues for 7 years this piece of junk keeps dimming to 40% brightness unless you use the factory wire, and I want to note that it only does this occasionally but persistently. It also give terrible directions, it often sends you up to 30 minutes out of your way. Garmin really dropped the ball on this one.
