This product was a low-cost option for me to use in my work vehicle, which doesn't have a navigation system. It makes it much easier to locate different job locations when directions aren't provided. Works well and is easy to use.

This is a great little GPS. I was able to get it at $50 off. I prefer a GPS unit over a phone because of the ability to see the lanes (lane assist), especially in the larger cities I'm unfamiliar with. Lifetime maps is a must.

Purchased for my mom is hasn’t yet embraced the technology revolution. She can easily input addresses and destinations of her choice. She likes the freedom of having her phone and gps separate. The unit also looks great.

it has lots of nice features. it doesn't not talk incessantly when you have long stretches of road with no change. when you have multiple ramps off an interchange, it splits screen and shows you exactly which to take.

I bought this GPS just before I went to Dallas and I literally would have been lost without it. The road system from the airport was very complicated and the GPS kept me going! Even when I stopped to get gas on my way back to the airport, it recalculated and made it possible to find the rental car return. I am not a high tech person, but I had no problems operating this device. I love the voice commands and the fact that it doesn't have to be attached to the windshield to work.

Very easy to install and operate. The definition of the graphics is wonderful and it also comes with a lifetime of free updates.

we were on our way to Maine and getting a rental we thought to get a new gps and was this thing every helpful. There was only one occasion that it did not know the proper direction other than that I loved this thing

Upgrade from an old nüvi 50lm , a lot of improvements , user friendly interface , more features for the money, only drawback Garmin doesn't let you download vehicle icons anymore .

The Garmin Drive 51 is an excellent GPS for cars because it is easy to operate and extremely helpful when navigating. I purchased this Garmin for a friend who does Meals on Wheels. She absolutely loves programming addresses and finding the houses she needs easily. The Garmin shows each oncoming street and/or exit, restaurants, gas stations, and more. Backlight changes during the day and night so it is easy to see. Love it and definitely recommend this model for simple navigation.

Very helpful tool. How did I live without it? Would give it 5-stars except it would shut down the directions a couple of times mid-drive telling me I need to update! Not cool.

My third Garmin.This is by far the easiest to use. Would recommend it.

This Garmin has a good size screen for our jeep. I was able to transfer our favorites from Nuvi easily. This Garmin also works similar to the Garmin we have in our motor home.

Our older Garmin 50LM quit on us a couple days before my wife hit the road on a trip. She depends on a GPS as she struggles with maps. This unit was a little different than the other. It took a bit of fussing to get it figured out but once I did I was able to instruct her how to use it. One thing I don't like is even if you have it set to take shortest route and go off the planned route, it takes miles down the road for it to recalculate. It continues trying to get you to go back to the last point it remembers. I'm sure there is a reason for it but I haven't found it. Still a good unit that will get you where you need to be.

I had a very old Garmin GPS that I loved, and it finally died. My first impression of the new one is that it felt cheaper. The old one was heavy and had a rubber coating on the back to keep it from sliding around in the car. Now I realize that it might be lighter in weight so I can attach it to my windshield. I haven't used it much yet, but the voice sounds very natural, and it doesn't say "recalculating" when I don't follow it's directions. It just directs me from the new location, which I like.

got this gps for my husband to replace an old outdated one. he was in store just looking at different ones and saw this one was on sale for a good price. so we bought it. we got it home and it turned on but it wouldn't hold a charge so we had to exchange it for a new one. but the second one we got has been great. its super fast, has lots of features, and you dont even need an address, just type in the place your going to. we really like it. its awesome for the price

I have owned three different brands of GPS systems over the years and Garmin has been the most intuitive and user friendly by far. In addition to being a great navigation system for the car, the accuracy and decimal precision of the coordinates feature has been instrumental in many successful Geo-Caching adventures. I have even carried my Garmin on off-road motorcycle tours and my Garmin has gotten me "out of the woods" a number of times.

Needed a GPS for my son to travel with. This doors the bill! Easy to use, accurate, and lifetime maps is a bonus.

My Garmin - Drive 51 LM 5" GPS , is a lifesaver. it is more accurate than my OnStar navigational system in my vehicle. With the lifetime map updates, I can keep abreast any new road changes. I purchased this a s a quick replacement for my other Garmin which was stole. That one had traffic updates, but for $49 dollars less i was stil able to get a Garmin product with high quality.

After reviving the package... early... hook up and update went easily as instructed.. it was ready to use outta the box but always good to update all kinds of stuff... great device! Enjoy...
