The interface is strait forward enough and the directions it gives are easy to understand. One of the better features of this model is the one that will give you multiple routes to your destination to choose from (if another route is available). I highly suggest checking the settings, the factory default settings can sometimes be troublesome (Like if you need to take a toll road to get to your destination and the default settings tell the GPS to avoid toll roads, the GPS will take you to Timbuktu and back to avoid the toll road).

I have talked to my Google map for years driving and 99% of the time it only takes one SAYING ADDRESS and I'm off. Garmin voice recognition is 10 years behind understand. Said the same address 15-20 times and gave up cause I was there already cause Google map had me there first saying. ANOTHER THING IS GMAP UNDERSTAND IM AROUND THIS AREA AND IT FIND ME 1007 UNION = 1007 UNION AVE GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN.. GARMIN KEEP PUTTING 107814 OR 10070 FYION or 10070 DIVISION NE OR DID YOU SAY 100337 LYON... ON AND ON IT WRONG. AND IT TRYING TO ALWAYS PUT ME IN ANOTHER STATE. I WOULD SAY 80% -90% OF THE TIME ITS WRONG, AND NO I DONT STUDDDDER. I OWN A BUSINESS AND TALK ALL DAY TO PEOPLE. THIS GARMIN I HAVE TRIED SOFT, SLOW, FAST, LOUD, YELLING, SCREAMING, ASKING NICELY ETC. BUT THE RADIO CAN GET IT TO GO TO VOICE COMMAND BY SAYING NOTHING EVEN CLOSE TO VOICE COMMAND. ONLY THING I FIND WORKS GOOD IS DASH CAM AND EASILY BEING ABLE TO SAVE LAST 3 MINS.. YOU KNOW I CAN GET ALL THE COMMAND PRASHES TO GO BY SAYING EACH ONE THE FIRST TIME. ROUTING IS OFF FOR BEST ROUTE. I WANTED VOICE COMMAND FOR BEING ABLE TO SAY ADDRESS ON THE GO VS STOPPING. NOW USING MY SMARTPHONE WITH GOOGLE MAPS AGAIN.

This GPS system is easy to use. Gets me to my destination by the quickest route possible. Also you can avoid roads that you don't want to be on.

Needed Garmin for upcoming trip to Canada ( NFL, NB, PEI, NS and St. Pierre & Michelin. Excellent verbal turn by turn instructions and will program destination by voice. Plug n Play easy set up.

I absolutely love this gps. It's so clear, and has amazing features that I'm still discovering. It warned me yesterday that there was a speed zone ahead!

This model supplies all the information we needed without being too complicated. Clear and easy to interact with.

It's a descent GPS device. No complaint about navigation. However, I'm giving a 4 star because google maps is way more clever than this even with the bluetooth connected for online data. Google maps re-routes with much reasonable choices if I take a wrong path. Google maps is able to find my intention to some extent, which this device cannot.

Bought the Garmin smart GPS it's the best GPS I have ever used. I especially like the way it lets me know when I'm approaching railroad tracks and the speed limit is going down.

When I got this GPS, the first thing I did was update the maps. But I was disappointed with this product because it failed to recognize a MAJOR construction project that closed a highway on ramp. Due to the fact that I was unable to get on the highway, Garmin detoured me through a sketchy neighborhood. Perhaps I failed to read the details on this device, but I was expecting it to get LIVE traffic updates... but you need to tether to a smart phone for that. Unfortunately, the whole reason I purchased this device (for my parents) was because they don’t have a smart phone! The last time I purchased a GPS was 15 years ago, and it seems that Garmin has not evolved much since then. All this device does is navigate with preloaded maps.

Best GPS unit we have in fleet. Screen is sharp and clear and graphics are great. Easy to program and excellent at alerting to traffic problems in route. Great value for the price.

I love this Garmin Navigator. I've already gone a couple places and the Garmin Navigator was right on. It knew exactly where we were at and when to turn. I would recommend this to anybody.

I got this for my wife because of the voice commands and Bluetooth. It helps a lot to keep her from getting lost and she can hear her phone.

Easy to program, lifetime maps updates are great, Much needed if your vehicle does not have a built in one and you travel a lot!

This by far has been the best Garmin that I have ever used. Absolutely love that you can find addresses by voice command.

The GPS kept rebooting. I went back to Best Buy and they replaced it with another Garmin - DriveSmart 51 LMT-S 5" GPS and that one kept rebooting. I don’t know if that store received a bad lot of DriveSmart 51 LMT-S 5" GPSs because I never had problems with like this with any other Garmin products. It worked great when the unit wasn’t rebooting. I eventually traded that one for a Garmin DriveAssist 51 and had no issues.

I have navigation on my phone or car so this has been great. I picked the smaller size so I could take it with me when I travel. I've gotten to all the places I wanted without getting lost!

Love the user friendliness and ease of use. The only thing I don't like is not being able to see BOTH the miles remaining AND the ETA on the screen at the same time when navigating.

had this GPS for a long time for work it gave me such clear and precise directions i never got lost or had to look at my phone for more navigation

We purchased this before our most recent trip. I enjoyed not having to constantly use my cell phone for the GPS. It did everything I expected to do. Solid choice for the money.

This model has a bell that warns you when speed limit will go down which is great on long trips or in unfamiliar areas. It also lets you know when entering a school zone which is very good. All of these programs will get you there the fastest way or the shortest, but not always the most practical A combination could save considerable miles and take no longer. Our old Garmin told us the elevation we were at which we both enjoyed a lot. This one is missing that item. Highly recommend this model.
