I was told by a Best Buy employee that the GPS will compensate for traffic and try to avoid traffic if connected to your phone via bluetooth. I had to sit in standstill traffic for 30 minutes and the GPS's time never reflected that would happen nor did it try any alternative routes. So for that, I deduced 1 star.

I haven't got a chance to use the red light/speed camera It's not available in my area I live... it's a good GPS that was the only downside

Vehicle power cables with built-in traffic receivers are available for purchase as optional accessories for your device, should you prefer or need to use this method over the default traffic solution. The GTM 36™ and GTM 60™ cables are compatible with the DriveSmart™ 61 and for folks that have a previous Garmin GPS that came bundled with either of these cables, they will also work. Thanks, James
Very Good GPS

I would have given it a 5 star but if you don't enter a house number, it won't let you enter a street. So in a newer area, if it's not updated quite often it can be a little frustrating. In all, exactly what I would expect from a long-time Garmin user.
