Posted .The amount of cellular data used by Smartphone Link traffic services is generally minimal, but it does vary depending on a variety of factors such as: Time used and amount of reported traffic information. 2MB of data per hour of active use with an automotive device is a reasonable estimate for data usage, in most situations.

BUT you have to upgrade the Maps if you are going beyond the state you are living. I tried to see how far and long it would take to go to Texas... LOL... it wouldn't even show me how to get to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. So.. just be aware you will have to do this as soon as you get it running.

All the other Garmins I have used had built-in FM traffic reception via the AC adapter.

Posted .The default traffic is provided through the Smartphone traffic app, however, this device is compatible with both the GTM 60™ and the GTM™ 36 traffic receiver power cables. So if your other Garmin used one of these cables, you can absolutely use it to provide traffic! Thanks, James
