One has factory GPS but you have to pay for updates. Bought the GarminSmart 51 LMT-S to put in vehicle with lifetime updates. Paid the same amount for the Garmin on sale at Best Buy as what it would have cost to do one factory update.

One concern is when passenger is holding for driver and following directions it has a tendency to go back to home screen. Why? Have to use more to make use of other features.

Maps Loaded and Memory Chip Functional

This is a product that you really can only evaluate over time, but so far so good. It has its own WIFI capability, but I downloaded updates via my PC.

So much in fact that I purchased one for her like the one I had. She loves it and it does the job for her. It is nice to have lifetime map updates along with traffic updates without using your phone.
