Little expensive but good to use

I bought this after my friend recommended this. It’s little expensive. You need separate cable to charge as your car charger does not work with this. I order cable from amazon but that does not work with this charger.

This GPS is not bad. Gets me where I need to be. The only issue I have is that when you set it to avoid tolls, it takes you WAY out if the way to avoid them. Intead of just hopping on a side road. Other than that, its a great product.

Does what I need it to do and I have used it in areas where there are no cell towers. Although there are still areas of the usa where it doesn't have the roads mapped very well, and you still have to be careful or you risk damage to your car. But with all things, use common sense.

The new GPS works like it is supposed to. Good picture quality. The voice is clear and the settings were easy to set. We use our GPS at least 3 times a week so it is important to us to have a good working GPS.

The voice direction are very different, like it will say ( upahead go off road on right ). instead of ( destination on right ). It as also made some very strange routes. The unit never say ( recalculating ). When I make ajustments in my route, I like to hear that the unit is keeping up. I have to keep looking down at the unit to see if it made the same ajustments. I live in Oregon and now in Tennessee on my way to Wisconsin and then home. All in all its been very good, even with the quirks.

It is a good product. The device itself has good sound and graphics. The holder sticks to your windshield and is very strong. Very easy to remove when needed. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a gps

    Doesn't come with traffic antenna

After I opened the GPS unit, I discovered that in order for the traffic to work, you have to use a traffic compatible power cable. The GPS comes with a power cable, however, it doesn't have the traffic antenna built in. In order to use the lifetime traffic that they advertise, you either have to pair it to your smartphone, or buy a traffic compatible power cable for $70 (!) which was almost as expensive as the GPS itself. This defeats the purpose of having a standalone GPS unit in the first place because I wanted something that I could use without my smartphone.

I’m sorry about you’re disappointed with the GPS. Live traffic alerts on this device are received wirelessly from a smartphone using the free Garmin Smartphone Link app. Vehicle power cables with built-in traffic receivers are available for purchase as optional accessories for your device, should you prefer to use this method over the default traffic solution.

I had an old Garmin that was given as a gift many years ago. Needed to update. When I saw this unit on sale , I had to buy. I used it recently to help find a wedding of a friend held in the country. I had no trouble even on the "county" roads! Could not have done it without Garmin.

A great GPS to use to get around for the price, bought it on sale. Ready to use right away just plug it in your vehicle charger/cigarette lighter but probably better if it comes with built in camera.

Enjoying my new GPS, My problem was moving to Oklahoma City I was unaware where streets were, where things were and this gives me the ability to find what I’m looking for. My new GPS also alerts me when I’m close to a school which I’m finding is very helpful.

Loved it You could talk thru Bluetooth from your phone I never got the feature to alert loved ones of your travel progress to work but I thought it was a great feature. Text and alerts show on the GPS so you don't need to take your eyes from the road/

I bought this on sale. Lots of feature loaded and for the price it's a very good deal. Entry via the touchscreen is easier than the conventional gps. Voice command is a little quirky but nonetheless useful.

I have in dash GPS and TomTom units and the Garmin is comparable to the factory model and superior to the TomTom. In addition it has Blue Tooth that allows hands-free cell phone usage

The lane assists really helps when you're driving in big cities as there are a lot of forks and exits you don't want to miss. Takes a while to load although it's handy as it can connect to your phone for smart notifications.

I had an existing 3yr old Tomtom gps set, but didn’t like the non responsive screen. This Garmin unit appealed to me for 2 reasons... capacitive mobile like touch screen and the ability to map locations on the phone and transmit wirelessly to the unit. The screen met my expectations, however synchronization with my iPhone is quite spotty. Also it takes significantly longer than my prior 3yr old unit to connect with satellites and map my drive path. Like I said, good device, could’ve been much better.

Bought it as a replacement for an older Garmin unit. Performs way beyond expectations. Routing calculations are very quick. Touch sensitivity is a lot better than the older Garmin. Bluetooth notification interaction is great.

I like that you can speak where you want to go. I also like that when multiple lanes are involved, it tells you which lanes you can be in. Haven't been able to figure out traffic.
