I love that you can verbally say your commands. That's a great feature.

It is nice to have a GPS with updated maps. I liked the idea of voice activation to input a new address, but no matter how well I attempt to enuciate this system seems to have a hard time with my voice and I end up having to manually input the address. Since my previous GPS did not have this feature...I am not missing anything I had been used to. Seems to be a hit or miss...

My Garmin 2589 was way better. Took a chance on this model 51 LMT-S. Even though I have not selected any driver assist features, the unit still interrupts my trip with the unnecessary information. I don't like that the volume on max is still way too low. No voice pack available. I miss my Dr. Nightmare voice. The unit is serviceable, but not great.

Runs most of the time but occationally locks up and needs hard reset to reboot.

Best gps for the money. Miss the unit that has 3D screen where you see the contour of the land.

This unit can use a traffic receiver to receive over-the-air traffic updates. Great! I was going to buy a lesser unit that could only do traffic updates via Bluetooth from a cellphone, but spent a little more for this one because it would receive updates over-the-air (which I already knew were available in my area). And when I got it home, I found out that THE TRAFFIC RECEIVER WAS NOT INCLUDED. IT IS AN EXTRA-COST ITEM. I was not pleased. This wasn't Best Buy's fault. It's totally on Garmin. However, I actually like the GPS. It's an upgrade from my previous Garmin. I just didn't like spending additional money for over-the-air lifetime traffic data only to find out that it requires a $70 receiver that wasn't included. Very disappointing, Garmin. Had the receiver been included for the price, I'm sure it would've been a 5-star rating. Had it been clear that the receiver was not included, I would likely have made a different purchase decision.

My husband works for Fedex. He said it's a life saver for areas he doesn't get cell service. Only thing he says is he wish screen was little bigger.

So far works great. Fast start up , aquires maps / routes quickly. Have had several Tom Tom's that didn't last long , so far happy with the Garmin.....

This is number 10 great product few if any issues ever. Love WiFi feature beats old system on updates.

The Garmin is just the right size for my car. On a recent trip when are phones lost signal the Garmin kept us with the maps and directions we needed.

Garmin drivesmart 51 was a good price. We have always used Garmins so we knew what to expect. We especially like that it does updates automatically.

it has everything i wanted a little hard to get used to a 1st but i had not used a GPS in over 10 yrs

This is a great GPS. Especially like the notifications that displays from my phone (i.e. text messages, incoming calls). Hands free at it's finest.

responds well to voice commands, needs a little getting use to but overall a very nice unit.

This was a gift. Gift well received at Christmas. the requirement for 50 characters is a total waste. I should write something neg.
