I haven't used a stand alone GPS since I had an old Garmin unit that quit working that wouldn't update past the year 2008 maps. This one worked flawlessly out of the box, has a great large screen, easy to find addresses, and hasn't gotten me lost yet! While the glossy screen does show some glare in bright sunlight, it's not a big issue or deal breaker whatsoever. I am very happy with my purchase and plan to get lots of use out of this unit.

Absolutely amazing, screen is Large enough to see (I'm 50) and small enough not to obstruct my view of front windshield. It displays my phone calls, plays my ringtones through the unit. Tells if the the red light I'm about to run has a traffic camera...lol

This is my third Garmin GPS, only because they keep making them better and better. I have passed all my old ones to family and even bought my Grandpa his own which he loves. Easy to use, easy to transfer data, easy to update. I do miss the extra vehicles and voices in the store, but that would be my only complaint. Love the Voice commands and traffic data, have not used my phone on this, but it is because my phone uses my car stereo.

This certainly makes it easier to get around than a regular map. Much easier to navigate with the farming, than other methods like triptic!. Voice feature eases the attention issue when on the rosd

Very pleased with my purchase. I regularly use the voice command option. The screen is clear and the display is intuitive, providing helpful information such as your current speed limit. Keep in mind, the displayed road speeds are not always accurate due to construction, etc. Also, I strongly recommend a bean bag dash mount. The window mount that is provided will likely go bad (I've owned many Garmins and they all have).

Bluetooth and voice command features a plus, the 6 inch wide screen display is easy to use with limited distraction.

Opened the box, plugged into my computer and activated download/update. Everything went well and had no problems starting the nav system. I really like the larger size screen as it makes things easier to see and enter addresses, or POI's we are looking for. We bought this to use in europe on vacation in different cars/countries. The cost of the unit is less than two navigation car rentals cost.

I love the features of this GPS -- the large, clear screen, it's accuracy, and clear directions. I bought two cameras with it, too, and will get a third for the back of my trailer. (This model allows five cameras.). The only drawback is the built-in Bluetooth speaker. I can hear all callers clearly, but some have a lot of difficulty hearing me. Still love the GPS overall

Works great and is easy to use. I have owned Garmins for 15 years and they are similar in functionality. They also give the best routes. My IPhone does not always give the best route when using them side by side for comparison. Great screen. Not sure why they made hooking it to the computer so complicated. Need to use the small jumper that came with it and other cords, even though they appear to hook up, dont allow computer communication.

I love this GPS it is so easy to use if you say VoiceCommands there are a lot of different commands that can be done, the first one is find an address and you can dictate the address to the GPS or you say find an interception or you can say phonebook it acts like a Bluetooth and you can make calls or receive calls from the GPS it also has lifetime maps and lifetime traffic.

This Garmin is great. I can upload data from previous Garmins I've had in the past. The voice command makes a huge difference navigating hands free. The four square app has come in handy and is a nice feature when trying to find something to eat. The only down side to this model is that it takes up a little more valuable dashboard space than previous versions.

It was time to update my many-years-old Garmin that I use everyday. This new model is really awesome. Voice command is so helpful, and so many new bells and whistles I'm still figuring out. So glad Garmin is still creating great products... and they realize to keep doing GPS devices for those of us who need our phones for call use while driving. Very happy.

We had an older Nuvi 260 with a 4" screen that started to act up on us, so we purchased this 6" Drivesmart model as we were embarking on a roadtrip to another state. After adjusting to the different controls we really love it. The screen size is just right, the screen's clarity is great, and the directions are perfect. I especially like the fact that as you approach an interchange that you are going to take that it split screens to show you the correct lane to be in, then zips back to full screen mode when you are through it. Only "downside" is one that we also had with the old Nuvi 260: when you put in a route that follows a highway for a long way, but goes through towns or joins with other highways, it should just keep telling you to follow that through highway. Instead, if the highway also has a local street name, it will change over to that street name. Or if the highway joins others (such as, if you are following highway 51, but at some point it joins with highway 33 for a distance), it will sometimes switch to telling you to follow highway 33. This can be disconcerting. If a route follows one highway for a longer distance, it should default to always using that highway name--not switch around. Perhaps a minor issue in the long run, though.

I love the big screen but I haven't found a case for it yet. If you keep the "ball" on from the mount it is too wide for most cases. It will turn back on when I shut my car off which will drain the battery, once I figured that out. It took several weeks for me to figure out why the battery was drained when I returned to my car the next morning. All directions are available online.

Bought this to replace a smaller screened TomTom GPS which still worked, but was getting harder to see with 60+ year old eyes. It doesn't naturally take voice commands like the Tom Tom which I miss. One issue I have with this GPS is the fact that it doesn't show the speed limits on many roads. It seems to show mostly what it considers major road speeds. To me this is a drawback. I want to see the speed limit on it as much as possible especially when going thru areas that I am not familiar with. I think that it will just take some getting used to the difference between this and TomTom. At this point, I would be happier with the tom Tom if it had the same size screen. It will be interesting for me to see how I feel after using this for a few months. One thing I do like is the fact that this Garmin will shut off automatically after 15 seconds when it detects that the car is shut off. It will be interesting to see how much of a problem that could be when getting gas or stopping at a rest area.

We love it, The screen clarity is very good. Comparable to HD setting on your television. Has several interesting options which is great for trip planner information. The feature and provision of voice command is awesome, No distraction for driving needs. Unit is very portable, hence it comes with you from vehicle to vehicle.
